So Far So Good!

If you ask me about my day, I will tell you that it's mixed with disappointment and with excitement.

My day started off early as I woke up early because I recently made an appointment with the HSBC Bank Co-workers of opening myself a bank saving account. The entire process took about 30 minutes, as they spend a lot of time giving me instructions on how to access to my bank account. Part of the time were spent on setting password.

After everything is done, my mom dropped me off home and then headed out again. I spend nearly the whole doing nothing, but sleeping. I usually don't do that, but I was just very tired and had no choice.

At 4:30 pm I headed out to driving lesson. At that time, it started to rain and I wasn't too pleased about it. My driving performance today was quite disappointing as I made many mistakes. I guess driving through the rain really disturbs a lot. I nearly forgot everything about parallel parking and this upsets my instructor. By the time I came back it was 5:30 pm.

I have friends coming over to watch the Vancouver Canucks playoff game which starts at 7 pm. They arrived early, at 6:15 to play some NHL 10 before the game starts.

At 7pm, we turned on CBC to watch the Vancouver Canucks playoff intro. They used the U2 intro, Where The Street Have No Name, like before :

The game started off pretty evenly with a non scoring period. However Vancouver dominated L.A in the shots department by a margin of 17 - 6. What I liked so far about the game was the fact that Vancouver started playing a very physical game, especially the Sedins and Edler. Normally I don't see them putting on hits because it's not what they do.

After the first period, one of my friends and I headed out to Triple O's to get food before the second period. Unfortunately by the time we head back into the car, the second period just started. The los angeles kings opened the scoring on the powerplay and took a 1-0 lead. We started watching the game again while we're eating.

Mikael Samuelsson then buries on the rebound on the powerplay past Johnathan Quick to tie the game 1 - 1. The sedins then had a great rush and scored a pretty nice goal and Vancouver leads 2 - 1. I started High fiving with friends for each goals scored by Vancouver.

The game became very interesting, when Andrew Albert of the Vancouver Canucks boarded Brad Richardson of the L.A Kings. He received a 5 minute major and was tossed out of the game, giving L.A a 5 minute powerplay. Los Angeles would eventually score one goal on the 5 minute major to Andrew Albert to tie the game at 2.

There would be no scoring for the rest of the game, however there is something interesting. That was when Alexander Edler of the Vancouver Canucks nailing Drew Doughty :

All the madness came when overtime scored. The one big scoring chance that Los Angeles had that rebound shot which trickled past Roberto Luongo. However, the puck was just on the line and Roberto Luongo swatted it out before it crosses over the line. That moment gave me a temporary heart attack as my face just went blanked :

Minutes later, Los Angeles turned the puck over in the neutral zone and Vancouver went on the attack. Vancouver started to set up and Henrik Sedin sets up Mikael Samuelsson for his second goal of the game and Vancouver beats L.A 3-2 in overtime. My friends and I were all yelling and cheering as we hugged in joy.

Vancouver officially leads 1-0 in the best of 7. Bring on L.A in game 2!! Go Canucks Go!!!
