FiFa World Cup Day 19

Damn, time really flies by very quickly. It has been 19 days since the world cup has started. I woke up at 9am this morning, and realized that Paraguay as beaten Japan 5-3 in the penalty shootout. It was also the first penalty shootout of the tournament.

I vacuumed the house first, before eating breakfast. By the time I had my meal ready, my two friends came over to watch their Portugal taking on Spain. I honestly do not like Portugal at all, but that's just me.

The game was alright, with the Spanish dominating ball possession. Kind of like playing keep away with Portugal. Finally David Villa broke the tie with a rebound goal that gave Spain a 1-0 lead. This would eventually be the game winning goal, as Spain held on to win 1-0. My two friends were pretty disappointed.

They left after the game, and I stayed at home to double check my college courses. I eventually registered 3 courses to begin my semester.

After that, my mom made dinner, because I wanted to play soccer with some of my friends which started at 8.

However, we didn't start until 9pm we had to wait for people to come and somebody with a soccer ball.

We lost 4-2, despite having a 2-0 lead to begin with.

FiFa World Cup Day 17 - Fuck You German Scumbags!

It's officially the 17th day of the Fifa world cup, and also the second day of the Round of 16. I woke up right at 7am today, just to catch the England vs Germany match.

I'm not going to analyze this retarded game. Despite a disallowed goal to Frank Lampard that should of drawn England level. Germany then had all the momentum and would eventually score 2 more in the second half to win the ball game by a score of 4-1.

I would just like to point out, that if England finished the half with a 2-2 tie. Their game tempo would of been a lot different. Instead of using the, "All Out Attack" Mentality, they will play conservatively, in which they'll think defense first then offense, in order to be safe. So to all you ignorant fucks out there that said, "It will still be 4-2, it doesn't matter anyways" you guys obviously don't what the fuck you're smoking.

After the game, I ate breakfast and ranted a lot about the game, until the game between Argentina and Mexico. Argentina ended up winning 3-1, in which it should of been 2-1 because their first goal was clearly offside. As a result, there was a mini brawl between those two teams, which brought an entertainment.

After the game, I did nothing, but slept for a bit, before I started gaming on the computer.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be watching the Dutch vs Slovakia and Brazil vs Chile!

FiFa World Cup Day 16

Today was officially the start of the Round of 16 elimination match of the Fifa world cup! I woke up at 8am to watch the second half between South Korea and Uruguay. It was 1-0 Uruguay when I opened the TV.

South Korea would tie the game, off a header and the game evens at 1. At the 80th minute, Uruguay took the lead by scoring a beautiful goal, off the post and in, and Uruguay would beat South Korea by a score of 2-1.

After that, I went back to sleep for another 2.5 hours before waking up, to eat breakfast and watched the USA vs Ghana match.

Ghana opened the scoring early off an American turnover. Ghana led 1-0 after the first half. In the second half Ghana fouled an American player inside their zone and the Americans were gifted a penalty shot, eventually tieing the game at 1.

The Americans pressed and pressed, but couldn't score. The game would need extra time to solve. In the first half of the extra time, Ghana scored and led 2-1. This eventually became the final score as Ghana moves on to face Uruguay.

After the game, I did nothing except chatting on MSN and was also looking at some college stuff, before my dad came back at 6:30pm and took me out for dinner.

FiFa World Cup Day 15

Okay, so today was the last day for qualification round for the Fifa world cup. I didn't bother waking up at 7 again, to watch the matches between Brazil vs Portugal and Ivory Coast vs North Korea.

At 9am, I woke up and downloaded the final two episodes of The Mysteries Of Love and ate breakfast while watching it. I really enjoyed watching that show, it was very well done, in my opinion.

At 11:30am, I went downstairs to watch the game between Spain and Chile. This game was pretty entertaining for the most part. Though, the referees reminds me of Stephan Auger, where he tend to make calls on the Canucks, in this case it was Chile that the refs seemed to be against. Though, Spain and Chile both qualified for the round of 16, despite Spain winning 2-1.

After the game, I spend my time getting dressed and started packing my stuff before I head to a friend's place, before hockey.

I headed to the bus stop just in time for the bus to arrive.

By 4:10pm, I arrived at my friend's place, we ended up watching the NHL 2010 draft until 6 before we left for hockey.

It was the last day of hockey today, and we ended up losing pretty badly. How disappointing! So, hockey will resume in September.

After hockey, I went home, had dinner and showered.

Tomorrow, I'm officially going to be watching all the Round of 16 matches for the world cup!

FiFa World Cup Day 14

Woot! Exactly 2 weeks have pasted since the world cup started. This morning, I didn't bother waking up at 7 in the morning to watch Slovakia beating Italy by a score of 3-2.

Though, I didn't expect Italy to be playing this terrible. Their eliminated from world cup contention now.

At 9am, I woke up and then went to eat breakfast and watched The Mystery Of Love. I can't wait until tomorrow's episode. It's going to epic!

After the show, I did nothing until 11:30am to watch Denmark vs Japan. It was a pretty entertaining game, with the Japanese making themselves look like all-stars. Japan eliminated Denmark from world cup contentions by a score of 3-1. The Dutch also won their last game, beating Cameroon by a score of 2-1.

After the world cup games, I went back on my computer and pretty much spend my whole day doing nothing, except played a few games with another friend in Fifa 10.

I also played MahJong with my mom and sister during dinner, and ironically my sister won due to the fact that she was lucky!

FiFa World Cup Day 13

Wow, I can't believe Day 13 has been a lucky day for me. This morning, I woke up at 7am to watch my England team vs Slovenia. England has to win, in order to qualify for the round of 16.

They did just so. Defoe scored the only goal for England in the game and England won, 1-0. The USA game was just as good. With the Americans on the verge of being eliminated, they miraculously scored a goal at the 91st minute mark to win 1-0 and to advance.

After the game, I went out with my parents for breakfast and then we came home. At home, we had to move stuff out from the basement because there is somebody renting it. Though it was pretty exhausting.

By 5, I watched the NHL 2010 Awards. It was pretty entertaining. As expected, Henrik Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks has won the Art Ross Trophy. The ending was the best, because Henrik also won the Hart Memorial Trophy, which is unbelievable. As a Vancouver Canucks fan, I was more than happy to see Henrik get 2 trophies.

After the award assembly, my parents took us to Japanese food for dinner. We ended up paying $124 for foods.

FiFa World Cup Day 12

Wow, 12 days already? The world cup has already been started for 12 days. Unbelievable.

I woke up at 9am this morning to check on the score, between the group A countries. I was definitely surprised that France lost 2-1 to South Africa and Mexico losing 1-0 to Uruguay, despite that they both were pretty much qualified.

I went down to grab a bowl of macaroni and then went back to my room to watch The Mystery Of Love while having breakfast.

By 11:30am I was downstairs watching Argentina vs Greece. Despite the game between South Korea and Nigeria playing at the same time, CBC only can broadcast one game on TV.

The game between Argentina and Greece reminded me of the series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Washington Capitals. Where Greece would represent Montreal and Washington represents Argentina.

The Greeks' defense held Argentina scoreless at the first half, and finally Argentina was able to solve the Greeks' goalkeeper, who was having an outstanding game. He reminds me of Jaroslav Halak of the Montreal Canadiens, stopping nearly every shots he faced.

The game belonged to Argentina as they prevailed over Greece by a score of 2-0. This means Greece has been eliminated from the world cup, same with France, Nigeria and South Africa.

After the game, I didn't do much except listening to music an talking to friends on MSN.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be watching England vs Slovenia at 7. Perhaps the last England game I'll be watching? I hope not!

FiFa World Cup Day 10

Awesome!! 10 days already been past since the world cup has started. As usual, I woke up at 7 in the morning, to watch Italy vs Zealand.

All I have to say is that, there were too many diving and acting going on among players themselves. Shame on them. There was this occasion when a player from New Zealand faked an injury in the Italian goalie zone, and he successfully drew a penalty shot and scored on it.

This wasn't how the game ended, the Italians fought back with a goal of their own and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

After this game, I ate breakfast and then started cleaning up my house. By 11:30am, the Brazil vs Ivory Coast game began.

Brazil pretty much dominated the game, scoring the first three goals of the game, before Ivory Coast responded with a goal of their own, when everybody thought the play was offside.

As the game approaches to the ending, Brazil and Ivory Coast had a mini brawl, with some pushing. All started when a Brazilian player was tripped down and the Ivory Coast players didn't like what they saw. Later on, Kaka from Brazil got a red card for giving an elbow to the face of an Ivory Coast player. In my opinion, that was just act, to get Kaka suspended for the next game.

After the game, I did nothing except listening to music and talking on msn. That was pretty much the day.

Tomorrow, I'm having my wisdom teeth pulled out. YIKES!!!! FUCK!!!

FiFa World Cup Day 9

FiFa World Cup Day 8

Woo, it's the eighth day since the World Cup started. I woke up at 7am today, just to watch the Slovenia vs USA game. At the same time, I shockingly found out that Germany has lost to Serbia. O__O Am I stunned? Yes I am. Am I happy at the same time? of course!

The USA vs Slovenia game was rather entertaining. Slovenia dominated the first half, scoring 2 goals. However the Americans stormed back with 2 goals of their own in the second half. Although they thought they should of won, due to a disallowed goal because of an offside.

So after the game, I ate breakfast and then head to a friend's house to watch England taking on Algeria. I was pretty disappointed with England's performance. Though they finished the game with a 0-0 tie, but I expected a lot of more from England. Now I'm afraid England won't qualify if they don't win the next game against Slovenia.

After the game, we played NHL 10 on my friend's PS3, 2 on 2. We played 5 matches and won 3, before my friends started leaving. I then ate at Churches Chicken and then head to another friend's place and walked with him to hockey.

Hockey ended at 8:15 and now I'm home =P

8:45 pm = Lakers win. Period.

FiFa World Cup Day 6

Sorry, I had no desire to blog about Day 5, as it was a disastrous day for me. So today, I woke up at 10am, because I did not feel like waking up. I was shocked to see that Switzerland has beaten Spain, 1-0. I would expect the Spanish team to have easily beaten the Switz, but it turns out that the Switz proved everybody wrong.

I ate breakfast and then watched a Hong Kong drama, just before the South Africa vs Uruguay. This game was pretty entertaining, but too bad it's only a one-sided show. In the first half, Uruguay drew first blood, by looping a ball, high enough, making it impossible for the South African goalkeeper to save, and they lead 1-0.

In the second half, it was all Uruguay. They eventually would score on the penalty shot after a trip in the South African zone, by the South African goalkeeper. The goalkeeper was kicked out, and South Africa is in big trouble now. If they don't beat France, they are pretty much finished in this tournament.

After the game, I was back on the computer and was doing absolutely nothing. I slept for a while, before my dad woke me up, to take me for a meal at the cafe. We stayed until 6 pm.

We then went home and dressed up, before we head for dinner which started at 7. After dinner, we went to our aunt's place until 10:30pm and then head straight home.

The NBA Championship will be decided tomorrow. It's a due or die for both Lakers and Celtics. Good luck!

Monday, June 14, 2010

FiFa World Cup Day 4

The 4th day of the Fifa world cup. As usual, I woke up at 7 to watch Japan vs Cameroon. It was fairly an entertaining game, though I expected a tie between these two countries.

Japan would eventually score, near the end of the first half, when a Japanese player calmly puts the ball pass the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

The second half, the Cameroonians pressured with attacks, rush after rush. However, nothing gone past the Japanese goalkeeper, as he made one last great save at the final minute of the game to destroy and hopes for the Cameroonian to get back into the game.

I ate breakfast after and then watch episode 15 of a Hong Kong drama, just before the 11:30 game where Italy takes on Paraguay.

That game was surprisingly entertaining. Paraguay ironically scored first, off a free kick and was headbutted in, no chance for Buffon. I was pretty much laughing, because the underdog scored first, and it was against one of the best goalkeeper in the world! So Paraguay finished the first half with a 1-0 lead.

The Italians pretty much took over the second half, with attacks after attacks. They managed to get the tying goal, off a corner kick, when the ball was tapped in after the Paraguayan missed the ball. Italy tried to look for the game winner, while the Paraguayans played defense. Italy and Paraguay finished the game all tied at 1.

Tomorrow, I'll be looking forward to watch my friend's Portugal play against Ivory Coast. Also game 6 between the Celtics and the Lakers!!

Sunday, June 13, 2010

FiFa World Cup Day 3

I woke up at 7 in the morning today, to watch Ghana vs Serbia. No scoring in the first half, but then in the second half, things turned pretty ugly for the Serbs. One of the Serbian player was handed out a red card, for dangerous tackling. Also, Serbia was charged for a penalty shot. Apparently one of the Serbian player accidentally touched the ball with his hands, after attempting to clear it with his head. Ghana was awarded with the penalty shot and executed, putting Ghana in front by 1 goal. That would eventually be the final score as Ghana prevailed.

I ate breakfast after the game, and was on the computer chatting, before watching Germany vs Australia, which started at 11:30 am.

The Australians looked pretty dangerous when the game started. They had one great scoring chance, but was denied. It seems like that turned the entire game around, as the Germans dominated for the rest of the game. The Germans would score 2 goals in each half, making it a 4-0 triumph over Australia. But what can you expect from Germany, they are a team that loves to dominate early.

After the game, I went back on the computer and was discussing the games. Later, I went to a mall, in hope of purchasing an England Jersey. However, it was too expensive, and decided not to buy it. After, I went to a Chinese cafe with my mom and my sister to eat, before heading home to watch game 5, between the Lakers and the Celtics.

The game was pretty entertaining. The Celtics played exceptionally well, led by veteran Paul Pierce and Rajan Rondo. Only Kobe Bryant from the Lakers played well. He was the best player alone in the 3rd quarter, for the lakers, scoring the first 19 points for his team, before his teammates started contributing a little. However Boston kept scoring after Kobe scores a basket. Which pretty much even things out. So the 3rd quarter ended with the Celtics leading by 6. In the 4th quarter, Boston would dominate early, but the Lakers made a last desperate attempt to make a comeback, and nearly did. But the Celtics hanged on and won 92-86. Now they lead the series 3-2, heading back to L.A. 1 more win to go for Boston and they will win the championship!!

FiFa World Cup Day 2

The second day of Fifa world cup has begun. I was sleeping this morning, and missed 2 games. Korea vs Greece and Argentina vs Nigeria. Though, it didn't really matter to me, because I don't support any of the countries there. I woke up to check the score, and Korea prevailed over Greece, by a score of 2-0. Argentina topped Nigeria 1-0.

I ate breakfast before my dentist appointment at 10am. The dentist took about 45 minutes long. I was there just to have my teeth checked. Apparently, I have to take out my wisdom teeth, but the operation wouldn't start until the 23rd of June.

After the dentist, we went to buy snacks before the England vs USA game, which started at 11:30am. Though I was late for the game. As I went home and turned on the tv, they were already showing the replay of Steven Gerrard's goal. 4 minutes in, and England strikes first. The USA shockingly responded with a goal of their own, when Robert Green couldn't properly control the ball, and it just trickled past him. I admit, I was pretty upset, because that should of never have gone in.

The second half of the game, would be scoreless all the way. Though England were hungry to score, with numerous of attacks. However they couldn't score, making it a 1-1 tie. I was kind of disappointed, but then again, it's only the first game. England should be able to beat Algeria and Slovenia without problems.

Let's Go England!!!

FiFa World Cup Day 1

Today was officially the first day of the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Apparently, the opening ceremony starts at 5 am in morning. I therefore slept and woke up at 4:45, thanks to my mom. I'm glad that I didn't miss any part of the opening ceremony. However, the ceremony was anything but fascinating. It was 30 minutes long, but I found it rather boring, probably because South Africa wasn't a wealthy country. But the world cup was once in every 4 years, so I guess it's worth watching.

I ate breakfast before the first 2010 Fifa world cup game, between South Africa and Mexico. The game started at 7 am. It was an entertaining game, in my opinion. Mexico seemed to be the better team. However, the first half came to an end with no scoring. Mexico had a few chances to score, including one disallowed goal, because a Mexican player was offside.

In the second half, the South African team drew first blood, when one of their players snipped a shot towards the top right corner, past the Mexican goalkeeper. Mexico would answer back with a goal, when Marques had a clear shot and he made no mistake burying it to even the game. There would be no scoring after that and the game ended with a 1-1 score.

Later on, I dressed up and finished episode 14 of a Chinese Drama before I head to a friend's house, to watch France taking on Uruguay.

The game was rather entertaining, despite no scoring. How ironic! We laughed at the coach's reaction to every scoring chance denied from both sides, mainly because we found it hilarious. We also witnessed the first red card handed out to an Uruguay player. The game was more intense at the final minute, France gave everything they could to go for the win, but couldn't capitalize on it. So the game ended in a 0-0 tie. How interesting, the entire group A are all tied.

After the game, we played a little bit of Playstation 3. We played Fifa 10 demo, a game that I owned everybody in. We also played Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibar. By 3, we left to eat McDonalds. I had to carry my friend's stick, because he left to tutor someone. After lunch, I head to a friend's house before hockey. By 5:50, another friend arrived in a car, and gave us a ride there.

Hockey was fun, even when a couple of little kids joined us. They actually contributed in scoring, which made it more fun. My team prevailed by a score of 25-16.

Now, tomorrow is the big day! England taking on the United States!! England all the way!!
