I woke up at 7 in the morning today, to watch Ghana vs Serbia. No scoring in the first half, but then in the second half, things turned pretty ugly for the Serbs. One of the Serbian player was handed out a red card, for dangerous tackling. Also, Serbia was charged for a penalty shot. Apparently one of the Serbian player accidentally touched the ball with his hands, after attempting to clear it with his head. Ghana was awarded with the penalty shot and executed, putting Ghana in front by 1 goal. That would eventually be the final score as Ghana prevailed.
I ate breakfast after the game, and was on the computer chatting, before watching Germany vs Australia, which started at 11:30 am.
The Australians looked pretty dangerous when the game started. They had one great scoring chance, but was denied. It seems like that turned the entire game around, as the Germans dominated for the rest of the game. The Germans would score 2 goals in each half, making it a 4-0 triumph over Australia. But what can you expect from Germany, they are a team that loves to dominate early.
After the game, I went back on the computer and was discussing the games. Later, I went to a mall, in hope of purchasing an England Jersey. However, it was too expensive, and decided not to buy it. After, I went to a Chinese cafe with my mom and my sister to eat, before heading home to watch game 5, between the Lakers and the Celtics.
The game was pretty entertaining. The Celtics played exceptionally well, led by veteran Paul Pierce and Rajan Rondo. Only Kobe Bryant from the Lakers played well. He was the best player alone in the 3rd quarter, for the lakers, scoring the first 19 points for his team, before his teammates started contributing a little. However Boston kept scoring after Kobe scores a basket. Which pretty much even things out. So the 3rd quarter ended with the Celtics leading by 6. In the 4th quarter, Boston would dominate early, but the Lakers made a last desperate attempt to make a comeback, and nearly did. But the Celtics hanged on and won 92-86. Now they lead the series 3-2, heading back to L.A. 1 more win to go for Boston and they will win the championship!!
