Hockey Pool Week 15 Recap

So, another week gone! In fact, it has already been 15 weeks since the beginning of the hockey pool season! This week was both great and a joke. What is great is that, I beat the opponent that I haven't beaten yet, and what is a joke is that, I lost to the weakest team in my other pool again, and also the injuries to my team. Ryan Clowe, Evgeni Malkin and Alexander Semin, three of the guys I relied mostly on, for my success of my team.

In the first pool, I finally beat the guy 8-4, after failing to do so, for the past two times we played. My goalie stats could of been better, if it wasn't for that back to back clash between my two goalies, Tim Thomas and Cam Ward, in which Thomas won both games. Non or less, my players were solid. Patrik Elias and Mike Ribiero were my best players for scoring points, and Tim Thomas for my goalie. Now I move on to play another and only opponent that I haven't defeated yet, but will believe to have success this time!

In my other pool, I lost to the worst team for the second consecutive time, by a score of 9-7. I managed to steal all the categories which involved scoring, and my opponent captured all the goalie categories, and two skaters categories, hits and faceoffs. I would have stood a much better chance in beating him, if my goalies didn't screw up. Cam Ward, particularly. Screwed up three times this week and only one great solid game, Niemi won both games I started, Gigguere was alright, though he was only a temporary pickup and Scott Clemenson was terrible today. That pretty much sums up to my failure in the goalie categories. I did put up a fight in faceoffs, but was too much for me so I fall in that category, and also, my most dominant category, the hits! Seems like my players aren't hitting, for the past 7 days so I couldn't keep up with them. Starting tomorrow, I will be playing against an opponent which I still haven't beaten yet and it will be my only chance to defeat him during the season, before the playoffs. Cheering against the Sedins will be exceptionally tough for me, but his team has been weakened, due two bad trades. I just have to find a way to exploit on it.

Recognition: Alvin, you suffered your second defeat of the season, no worries buddy, you're still first and will remain first until the playoffs! Please win your next matchup! Oh and I forgot, the Jets lost to the Steelers!!!! Hooray! That absolutely made my day, seeing Rex Ryan's reaction was great!!
