Because hunger distracted my stomach, I woke up at 9 this morning to eat breakfast. After, I packed my stuff and played a couple of NHL 11 before heading out to Richmond Brighouse station to meet up a few friends.
Later, we bused and walked to Richmond Oval, to participate in the paralympics event ( Sports in a wheelchair). First, we got some souvenir before heading to the gym area. At first, we tried out the paralympics tennis. I listened to the athlete that I had to keep my wheelchair moving all the time and outperformed my 3 other friend in that game.
Later on, we spend at least one hour playing rugby. It was very fun but exhausting. Everybody called me "Luongo," since I was wearing my jersey today.
After an hour of paralympics rugby, we went to try out the paralympics basketball. First game it was a 5 on 4. My team easily prevailed by a score of 10 - 4, and I had to game winning basket. We then played a bit of 2 on 2. This time my team lost by a score of 10-7.
Our last event was the boring curling game. We have a stick to push our rock into the circle area while sitting down. I lost both games, but it was very fun.
We left Richmond Oval after and walked to the bus stop. By then, my arms were extremely sore. We took the 430 to Bridgeport and went inside Ikea to get some refreshments.
A friend and I walked back to my place while my two other friends left for home. We played a few games of NHL 11 before he left for family dinner.
I did spend an hour or so after playing NHL 11 on my own, before going back on my computer and then started reading for my classes. After reading, I watched the B.C Lions game, only to watch them blow a 12 point lead and turn the ball over 4 times in the 4th quarter. Boy was I pissed off! I was, I admit.
Here is a quote I would like to reference to the lions, by Jim Mora : "You can't turn the ball over five times. Holy crap, I don't know who the hell we think we are, when we do something like that. Uh playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope that we could win a game, another game."
