College Day 9

A tough morning for me. Since I was exposed to the cold around my room, my body pretty much resisted me in getting out of bed. Though I forced myself out, because I have class at 8:30.

I arrived to class pretty early today. Was probably ten minutes early. When class started, my instructor took attendance and then started lecturing right away. In today's lecture, we talked about the Austrian-Hungarian empire and Russia, including the 1905 Revolution and the Russo-Japanese War. I only managed to jot down two pages of notes. Before the end of class, he gave us a discussion sheet that we need to prepare for next class.

In Canadian Studies today, we had a lecture on Canada's role in the gulf war, also the 9-11 attack on the U.S World Trade Centre in New York and the aftermath of that. Later on, we divided ourselves into groups to discuss the readings that we had last class.

After class, I attended my last class of the day. Since it's Tuesday today, we went to the computer lab to have our lesson. For the whole class, we pretty much practiced for the quiz tomorrow.

When school is done, I bussed Richmond Centre, and waited for my mom at Sears. She bought a vacuum cleaner in February, and had trouble registering for the one year saving plan. We asked the customer service and apparently, they argued that no customers had the problem we've had, and urged us to try again at home. Later on, we went to McDonalds and ate there.

We left for home afterwards and I did my reading just before the preseason game today.

I couldn't say that I was disappointed with the results, considering how in the first game, the Calgary Flames had most of their starting lineups, while the Vancouver Canucks don't even have 1/4 of their starters. The Canucks fell 3-2 to the Flames. In the second game, the game was more even, but Vancouver fell short again. This time by a score of 3-1. If the Canucks had won both games, the Flames would of been humiliated big time.

Mandarin Quiz tomorrow!!!
