Give Vancouver Some Mercy!

There is really nothing I can ask about the National Hockey League, besides, "What the fuck is wrong with this league." Yes, I am extremely upset right now, not just about losing 5-3 to the Los Angeles Kings, but more on how they disallowed a goal that would of changed the entire game around in favor for Vancouver.

The game started off well, with Vancouver opening the scoring by Mason Raymond. At that time, the Canucks were dominating the Los Angeles Kings. Both in the shots and hit department. Vancouver then was called for a penalty and Drew Doughty would eventually score on the powerplay to tie the game 1-1.

The second period totally belongs to the Los Angeles Kings, as they scored three more goals, two on the powerplay, to make it 4-1, before Mikael Samuelsson score to pull Vancouver within two goals.

The third period pretty much was owned by Vancouver, as they showed their desperation to get back into the game. Just over three minutes into the game, Daniel Sedin scored a goal, a pass from Alex Burrows. The referees signaled a goal at first, but when they looked at the replay, they questioned that the goal might have been kicked in. Therefore they had to review the play very carefully. They were taking a heck of a time, because their also reviewing it in Toronto also. I was getting very impatient, because I did not see a kicking motion at all, when Daniel was just trying to put on brakes. When they finally announced it that it was a kick, I was completely insane, while shaking my head in anger.

How can you say that it's a kicking motion! Can't the people tell what is a kick and what is not? I just can't believe they made that decision, I was totally irate. You be the judge, whether or not this is a kick :

Vancouver would eventually score a quick goal, just minutes later to pull themselves within a goal. I nearly spend the rest of the game ranting how it should of been a 4 -4 tie, if that goal counted. With just over eight minutes left to play, Ryan Smyth of the L.A Kings would score on a wristshot that deflected off Vancouver's defensemen Christian Ehrhoff to make it 5 - 3 L.A. By then the game would seem like it's over, but Vancouver battled hard. Unfortunately they could not score anymore, and the game ends in a 5 - 3 victory for the Kings and they now also take the lead in the best of seven series, 2 - 1.

I'm severely disappointed in this league, because of what they are doing right now. However, if Vancouver cannot play through it, they don't deserve to win at all! Real champions can overcome any situations that they face. The series is not over yet! I expect my team to come out flying in game 4!! LETS GO CANUCKS!!!!!! GET EVEN IN THIS SERIES!!!!!
