Well yesterday was the final session of the celebration of light firework event. Therefore, I would force myself to go no matter what the situation was. Woke up a bit late but still managed to wake up at around 10:00am or so.
I hate Congee for breakfast, but they aren't bad. I just find that they don't work quite well to be a meal for breakfast, but I had two bowls of it and that was it. I hung around in the house until 12:00pm and then left the house. First I stopped to go to the bank to get an extra $120 and then took the Canada-Line to Broadway City-Hall and walked all the way to Granville Street to meet up with a friend whom I would be going to Granville Island to watch the play Julius Caesar with.
After the play, he proudly gave me a tour guide around Granville Island. I thought of filming him and posting it on Youtube, but decided not to. Later, we killed time by walking to different stores and shopping markets around there until it was 4:45pm. We also happened to watch a juggling show where this New Zealander guy performed.
Later, we walked back and met up with two friends before we went to this french restaurant named, Salade de Fruits. We ordered quite a few items, including, "escargot à l'aïl (a brand of snail with garlic butter), calamars frits (calamari and fries), salade de saumon fumé (smoked salmon salad), cuisses de grenouilles (frog legs), and the legendary moules et frites (mussels and fries); ganache au chocolat (chocolate ganache) and sorbet maison (house sorbet composed of mango, dark cherries, and nectarine) " ( http://alvinma.tk/ ).
There were many scenarios where I had to film friends' reaction to eating, such as the frogs leg and the snails and the mussels. The frogs leg was a killer for both of my friends sitting across from me. One took way too long to finish a piece, while the other couldn't handle it at all and decided to let me finish it up for him.
Afterwards, we walked to Kits Beach and had to sit on logs because nobody brought a beach towel. I didn't do much except skipping rocks. One of my friend's frisbee fell into water, because another friend accidentally threw it too hard and its lost forever.
Later on, two more friends joined us before the fireworks began. We all sat there until the fireworks. I had to film it using my hands to hold the camera up in the air for close to half an hour. After the fireworks, we left Kits Beach and went to the pub, named Room 18. We ordered pizza and beer in the first order and then we ordered chicken wings. Speaking of chicken wings, I've finally tasted one of the most spiciest food ever. The "Shocker " chicken wing was absolutely hot. I only took one bite and my whole tongue was asking for mercy already. I had no problem finishing my glass full of beer and a friend's cup of water due to the spiciness!!
After we're done eating, we walked and walked for a long time until we reached to the bus stop, but had to wait longer only to end up taking the "Special Bus" to downtown and take the 20 bus back to Victoria. I then got a ride home from my mom and immediately went to sleep.
