Hockey Pool Week 14 Recap

Another week done and it had been a roller coaster ride. Though the end of the ride was both amazing and depressing. Everything was executed to plan, until the very last day! I'll get to what happened on the very last day, which is today in a bit.

For my first pool, I played against the most dominant team in the league! He was heavily favored to win, though it was luck that some of his key players were injured. Thomas Holmstrom, Sidney Crosby, Kris Versteeg, Jimmy Howard, Michael Cammalleri and Joe Pavelski. Though, Joe and Michael returned near the end of the week and Jimmy Howard was injured near the end of the week. I became the first person to pull off the first upset. Should I be proud? In a way yes, do I deserve to be proud, somewhat but not that much, because one quarter of his team were out due to injuries. Never or less, I won by a score of 9-4.

In my second pool, I played against the 7th seed team! Only thing I had trouble with was goalie performance. His goalies were spectacular, but for some reason he didn't play some of his goalies when we had the chance. I was fortunate enough, because if he did play those goalies, the score would be a bit more closer. Here is something ironic, I won my second faceoff category and lost my first Hits category. But that's alright, I ended up winning by a score of 11-4. Now that I've finished making up for my 3 consecutive loss, I now had extra wins to spare with! All I need now is another decent win, starting tomorrow to get over .500 record!

So lets get back to the depressing part, at the end of the roller coaster ride. Even though I won both of my matchup for this week, I had to pay and tolerate a huge price. One of my big 5 favorite team is officially done for the year without any accomplishment. The New England Patriots. They lost at home to the hated New York Jets by a score of 28-21. Yes, the taste of witnessing my own team being eliminated to a team I despise is absolutely bitter! It shows when I was eating dinner. I complained about the food taste horrible and didn't really eat anything but drank chocolate milk. Anyways, let history repeats itself! Hopefully the same result will occur like in 2004 when the Jets played the Steelers! In the meantime, the Jets can go fuck themselves.

Recognition: Hey Alvin, props to you for putting up a great fight while bearing all those injuries you had! Good luck to you next week! Please win again!! Your victories will benefit make you look good and at the same time, help me too! So good luck!
