College Day 63

I am not feeling well right now, so this will be a short post. After waking up on a Monday morning, my throat was pretty darn sore and it's been really disturbing. I had breakfast and then got a ride from my mother to school.

English was pretty boring today. We had a discussion in groups as we have to critique Warm Dogs. That took the whole class.

History was alright. We lectured on what exactly was the Cold War. Also other things like the Marshall Plan and the Truman Doctrine. I filled two full pages of notes, single spaced.

Chinese was great. We talked about some Chinese New Year superstitions, basically about what is considered to be good luck and what is bad luck. Also received our quiz format.

When school is done, I went home only to find myself very unwilling to do my readings. So I didn't do it for the whole day. I'm just relaxing myself. Dinner was terrible as well. Now I'm planning to sleep.

Mood: Unhappy.

Hockey Week 18

On a gloomy Friday morning, the Shumstar woke up, knowing that he couldn't sleep anymore and actually started vacuuming and mopping the floor. He is only doing this because of Chinese New Year coming up. The whole process took an hour and a half. Though when he completed his task, he had something to eat before his mother comes back from work.

When shes back, she urged her son and her daughter to get dressed, as they would leave the house right after. The Shumstar was prepared, but his younger sister scrambled around, as always. He arrived at his friend's place at 12:45pm and they drove to Metro to have lunch. Surprisingly, it was McDonalds. After lunch, they walked around, EB Games, Chapters, Sportschek and grabbed Bubble Tea. When they left Metro, they drove to Canadian Tires, because Allen wanted to take a look at chair. He couldn't find any, unfortunately. So they went directly to the Shumstar's house to play NHL 11 and watch the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft. The Shumstar will be rooting for Team Staal, since he hates Team Lidstrom.

By 5:45pm, they drove to Vancouver to a community center named Kensington Community Center. Once again, King Of The Court was the way to go. My team dominated majority of the tournament, finishing the day with a 6-2-0 record. After hockey, I got a ride home from a friend. He came to play NHL 11, with some of my other Richmond friends. All of them completely left at a quarter to 12:00am. And when they did, I showered and blogged. Time to sleep.

College Day 62

Well, it's Thursday! Which means last day of school before weekend. Yes, as you know my schedule I don't have class on Fridays, because I feel that Friday is the day where I start to tend to get lazy. The sky was somewhat sunny but wasn't as good as yesterday. When I woke up, I packed my stuff first, took an ironic shower first before heading down to eat breakfast.

After breakfast, I put on my Vancouver Canucks jersey and left the house to catch the bus and skytrain to school. I ended up arriving to school at 10:55am, so I spend twenty minutes in the computer lab. I happened to bump into my friend's church friend there and we had a little chat. When it was 11:15pm I left and went to my class.

In English, we continued to talk about Warmdogs and technologies, on how people are so over-relied on it, that it ends up producing more harm than good. We also handed in our paragraph. Prediction, C+.

After English, I went back to the computer lab and spend some time making my dialogue for Chinese class and also watching youtube videos. Nothing really special happened during my 2 hour break.

When my break is over, I went inside my Chinese classroom. A friend and I were the first one to arrive and we started discussing the dialogue. Soon everybody arrives and we began our lesson. We read dialogue 2 today and had to take lots of notes with the words, "can," "May". After, we were in groups of 2s and had a dictation of dialogue one. It was only for participation marks. Later, we spend the rest of the class doing our presentation. I didn't look at the paper while my two partners had to, but oh well.

After class, I went home and had something to eat before starting on my readings. I spend from 4:30pm - 6:45pm reading chapter 4 of my history textbook. After dinner, I spend from 8:30pm - 9:45pm reading my English stuff. When I'm done, I took a shower again and played Age Of Empire 3 with a friend. I must say, it is perhaps our best performance. My economy wasn't attacked at all, and I actually wiped out most of the CPU's economy, and my partner finishes the job. Though he was attacked slightly, but didn't suffer major loss, only a minor loss. We finished the game when we used the war on two front tactic against the last enemy. We ended up winning, as I took the first star of the game!

After the game, I just relaxed while I photoshop a wallpaper.

College Day 61

It's the middle of the week and thus it is Wednesday. One thing I really didn't expect, when I woke up was seeing the Sun! It seemed forever that the sun displayed itself in the bright sky! Anyways, I still continued when I always do. I got dressed, and went downstairs to grab some sort of food, I have no idea what the name is but it wasn't bad. After breakfast, I packed up my bag and left the house immediately. This resulted me in being early to school.

When I arrived to school, I spend around twenty minutes in the computer lab, before going to my English class to begin the day. We were in groups, discussing questions on "Warmdogs" which pretty much last the whole class. So when we were done, class was pretty much over.

After English, I speed-walked to my history lecture hall. Our lecture today mainly was about the post-war era and the beginning of the Cold War. Despite not being my best interest, I still paid attention in class, as best as I could, while jotting down notes.

At the end of the class, I went to my last class of the day. Apparently, there has been some confusions about where our class would be held. Normally, we would be in a lab on Wednesdays, but it wasn't the case today. We spend around five minutes in our main classroom, until another instructor came and told us that he was scheduled for this class. We then moved to another classroom. When class started, we had our quizzes handed back. Remember what I predicted, from two previous blog post? 32/40. Though, I was extremely close, but wasn't right. I received 33/40. Yes, this currently my worst quiz mark and what I'll do next time is redeem myself! We later spend the class reading and explaining dialogue one. Soon, our instructor made us form ourselves in groups of 2 or 3 and make up a dialogue presentation to the class for participation marks. That was pretty much it for the class.

After class, I went home and had a little bit of snack, before doing my dreadful History readings. Dinner was early again, I didn't really eat much because I didn't feel like eating. After dinner, I started doing my English paragraph as it will be due tomorrow and followed some hockey. The Canucks ended the month of January with a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators!

College Day 60

Second day of the week unfolded! After waking up from my sleep which contained four different dreams I got dressed and then went downstairs only to find a large bowl of macaroni on the table. I wasted no time finishing it and went upstairs to pack my stuff and got the hell out of the house!

This time, it wasn't really raining so I didn't bring an umbrella. I arrived to the bus stop just when the bus was about to arrive so I got on without any trouble! It took around ten minutes to get to the skytrain station but I was way ahead of time. I ended up arriving to school forty five minutes early. New record!!! I spend around half an hour in the computer lab reading Wikipedia.

I left the lab at around 11:15am and went to my class while waiting for the instructor and the rest of my classmates arrive. In English 1127 today, we talked about cyber-punk and had a short discussion on a new short story. We also got our draft ( not for marks ) back on our paragraphs. Apparently something went wrong on mines, and it appears to be that I wrote a "body paragraph" like a introduction, maybe that's why I received an F and my instructor says that my ideas is very undeveloped. Yes, I was confused, but didn't know, when I wrote the draft. Anyways, our good copy will be due on Thursday. Better get cracking on it!

Since it's Tuesday, after English, I had a 2 hour break and decided to go to the computer lab again to do some homework and read TSN.com. And when 2:10pm comes, I left the lab and headed to my Chinese class.

Our substitute instructor taught us for the first half of the class, because our main instructor was at the doctor. We went over vocabulary words for chapter 6 and read dialogue one as well. By then, our main instructor came back and took over the class. We then went on to continue on discussing how to tell the time in different ways. Though, I will no matter what, stick with the way I learned since it's going to be correct for sure. I thought we were going to get our quiz back, but we didn't. Can't say the same for tomorrow's class!

When class ended, I took the skytrain and bus home. Since there wasn't really anything to do, I started on my reading and had dinner in about one and a half hour later. Great food tonight! I ate somewhat more than I could handle but I didn't care. After dinner, I continued on with my dreadful reading and then went to shower and now blogging! Doom Day is near!!

College Day 59

A new week has begun! But not a very pleasant day to begin with. As I peaked the window, it was pouring rain. It makes me feel like going out would be the same as going to hell. But I had to suck it up. When I woke up, I got dressed and went downstairs to get some spaghetti and juice and brought it back to my room. I was eating and listening to music at the same time, before leaving the house. For the first time ever, I actually brought an umbrella, mainly because I was pretty darn fed up with myself getting all wet.

On the way to catch the bus, I accidentally dropped my cellphone and the back fell open and my sim card was soaked, but it was fine, as I checked it when I was inside the bus. I did arrive to school, 30 minutes ahead of class time. I was in the computer lab for a short while before heading down to my English class.

Our class lecture today involved talking about citations and quotations. We didn't really have time to discuss the latest short story that we read couple days ago.

Next stop on the list of the day was history. We finished lecturing on the pacific war in which the allies have finished the Japanese off. Also had a lecture on how the victors of the war will determine the future of Europe. We also had a debate whether the atomic bomb was really necessary, but majority of the class, including myself favored the decision by Truman allowing the bomb to be dropped on Japan.

After history, I went to my last class of the day. In Chinese, we had a quiz to begin the class. My performance wasn't the one I would of liked, I know I made mistakes here and there, but I'm sure my mark will be solid, but won't be to my standard! If this was hockey, I would of pulled a Canada vs Switzerland in the prelims, a shaky win! We then had a small lecture about how to say the time in Chinese, with some rules. Quiz prediction: 32/40

When class is over, I went home through the rain! By 4:20pm, I was home and did nothing but relaxing. Also followed some hockey and waited for the Canucks game to begin. I'm not going to analyze the game here, but Vancouver had a dominant effort, beating the Stars by a score of 7-1 and ending their 4 game win-less streak. After the game, I had dinner and the food wasn't bad!

After dinner, I started doing some readings before showering and blogging.

Hockey Pool Week 15 Recap

So, another week gone! In fact, it has already been 15 weeks since the beginning of the hockey pool season! This week was both great and a joke. What is great is that, I beat the opponent that I haven't beaten yet, and what is a joke is that, I lost to the weakest team in my other pool again, and also the injuries to my team. Ryan Clowe, Evgeni Malkin and Alexander Semin, three of the guys I relied mostly on, for my success of my team.

In the first pool, I finally beat the guy 8-4, after failing to do so, for the past two times we played. My goalie stats could of been better, if it wasn't for that back to back clash between my two goalies, Tim Thomas and Cam Ward, in which Thomas won both games. Non or less, my players were solid. Patrik Elias and Mike Ribiero were my best players for scoring points, and Tim Thomas for my goalie. Now I move on to play another and only opponent that I haven't defeated yet, but will believe to have success this time!

In my other pool, I lost to the worst team for the second consecutive time, by a score of 9-7. I managed to steal all the categories which involved scoring, and my opponent captured all the goalie categories, and two skaters categories, hits and faceoffs. I would have stood a much better chance in beating him, if my goalies didn't screw up. Cam Ward, particularly. Screwed up three times this week and only one great solid game, Niemi won both games I started, Gigguere was alright, though he was only a temporary pickup and Scott Clemenson was terrible today. That pretty much sums up to my failure in the goalie categories. I did put up a fight in faceoffs, but was too much for me so I fall in that category, and also, my most dominant category, the hits! Seems like my players aren't hitting, for the past 7 days so I couldn't keep up with them. Starting tomorrow, I will be playing against an opponent which I still haven't beaten yet and it will be my only chance to defeat him during the season, before the playoffs. Cheering against the Sedins will be exceptionally tough for me, but his team has been weakened, due two bad trades. I just have to find a way to exploit on it.

Recognition: Alvin, you suffered your second defeat of the season, no worries buddy, you're still first and will remain first until the playoffs! Please win your next matchup! Oh and I forgot, the Jets lost to the Steelers!!!! Hooray! That absolutely made my day, seeing Rex Ryan's reaction was great!!

Hockey Week 17.

The 17th time, that our group will be playing hockey today. As excited as it can be, the weather outside totally destroyed the mood. The sky was dark and it was raining pretty hard. I couldn't sleep anymore, so I went on the computer for a while, before doing some house vacuuming and then went to mop the floor. I got the things done pretty quickly, it only took almost an hour.

After doing the floors, I grabbed a small bowl of fried noodle and watched an anime, while waiting for a friend to wake up and come online. He did so, at around 12:15pm. We had a chat and then I got dressed and head out the doors. We were going to Japanese All You Can Eat for lunch. I took the longer way, only because I don't like standing outside waiting for the bus in the rain. I arrived at Fleming and 49th by 1:20pm and he picked me up at around 1:30pm. We went to Fish On Rice in Burnaby. The food were good, but one problem, he ordered way too many. After finishing all the orders I have ordered, I helped him finish some of the food. However, it seemed impossible to finish, so we decided to dump some food inside a bowl and cover it with another bowl on the top. Oh, the drinks are for free, how ironic! Our bills cost $14.06, including tax and I paid 20.

After lunch, we went back to my house, to play some NHL while we waited for my other friend to come. By 5:20pm, he showed up without my stick, so we went to his house first to get it and then went straight to hockey. It's unbelievable that we were still in Richmond by 5:48pm, and still managed to get to the community center by 6:05pm.

There were dozen of people there already, but not very much from our group. We ended up doing King Of The Courts again. My line today was pretty bad, a -4, on a 6-2-0 team record! I personally didn't like the King Of The Courts system, but since majority of the people wanted it, I'm just going to play without complaints!

When hockey is over, we drove to McDonalds to get some meals before heading back to my place to play more NHL. What an coincidence, my mom and my sister were eating McDonalds as well.

Soon later, a couple of my other friends arrive and a friend left my house. We played NHL until 11:30pm, and 2 of my friends left, leaving only a friend and alone playing. We played some more and stopped a quarter until 2:00am. When he left, I cleaned up the table and went to shower and then started making this late blog post.

Recognition: Allen, thanks for the car ride today. It was fun, hope you had a great time. Alvin, good luck with your research stuff!

College Day 58

The week is coming to an end pretty quickly, but not quite over yet! To begin the day, boy it was hell when I looked at the window. It was raining pretty hard today, and I heard in Vancouver it was wet snowing. Anyways, as soon as I got out of bed I quickly got dressed and had a quick breakfast before getting out of the house to school!

I had to wait for the bus longer than I had to wait for the skytrain, but whatever. I still managed to arrive to campus 20 minutes early. Since class doesn't start until 11:30am, I just waited a couple minutes until the class earlier all left and then I went in and waited for my instructor.

In English 1127, we finished discussing The Way Of the Wind and talked about claims in an essay as well. Before class ended, we handed in our draft of the paragraph of one of the stories we chose to write about.

When class ended, I was at the computer lab doing my Chinese homework to hand in 1.5 hours later. By 2:10pm I was already outside the classroom door waiting to get in.

In Chinese 1215, we finished up chapter 5 and went on to study chapter 6. Chapter 6 was purely based on appointments and dating with another person. Seems awkward but whatever! We also got the quiz format before we called it a day!

I decided not to walk to the skytrain station and decided to take the bus there. The bus came pretty darn late and I regretted it! Oh well, who cares! I was home by 4:20pm and relaxed for a bit before doing my readings. Hell, I had 3 different reading assignments to do, but I was able to complete it by 9:30pm. Yes, I ate dinner as well, and then went back to reading! That was pretty much it, and followed the Canucks for a bit. Another loss, this is turning outrageous! No problem, Saturday will be our 30th win!

College Day 57

So we're in the middle of the week here as time flies by pretty quickly again. Nothing really occurred this morning. As I got out of bed, I packed my bag first before getting dressed and heading for breakfast.

I had macaronis, with a cup of cold chocolate milk. As usual, I added hot sauce to my meals every time!! By the time I finished eating, it was time to go so I head out the door and leave for school! Every public transit came as soon as I waited! Since I got on the bus and skytrain pretty quickly, I resulted in arriving to school, 30 minutes early. Surprisingly, a friend text me saying that he arrived to school early. I was expecting him to complain to me about how the bus is full of Langara students. But he didn't.

First class was English. We had a discussion on the short story, "The Way Of The Wind," discussing the connection between a son and a father and what they represent. That was pretty much it.

After English, I went directly to my history 1160 lecture hall. We spend first half of the class watching a film about the war in the eastern front, when the Nazis invaded the Soviets. We had a ten minute break after and then finished off the second half of the class, lecturing about the war in the pacific, regarding with Japan and the United States.

When History was done, I headed directly to the computer lab for our Chinese lab! All we did was gone over sentences through translations with another person. Though I always had to carry my partner, but that was fun!

Since Chinese was the last class of the day, when it was done I went home and ate rice before doing some readings. Dinner was ready by the time I finished reading and the food wasn't that great. Cooked Salmon was terribly awful and it also made me pretty darn thirsty as well, but I just ate it!

After dinner, I took a shower and blogged.

Hockey Pool: God must of really hated my innocent hockey pool team. All of the scenarios favored my two opponent while all I get is creamed in the face! Seriously, leave my pool alone and don't take away anything from a very dedicated fantasy hockey manager!! Leave me in peace at once!

College Day 56

Not a pretty day to talk about what happened today, so I'm just going to quickly briefly talk about my day.

Woke up at 9:00am only to get dressed and ate breakfast before heading out to school! Bus and skytrain came on time! I was 30 minutes early when arrived to campus. So I just waited by the door outside my classroom.

English ended at 12:30pm and since it's Wednesday so I had a 2 hour break. I spend my time at the library computer lab relaxing until 2:10pm and head straight to my last class of the day.

Chinese 1215 ended at 3:30pm. I had nothing to do after, so I went with a friend to Yaletown Roundhouse station, where he would be buying a textbook from someone else. We then went back to take the Canada line home after. I got home by around 4:30pm and started reading while looking at the scores.

I will not talk about hockey, because it pretty much destroyed my entire day. Dinner began at 7:30pm. The food was much better than the ones I had on Sunday. After dinner, I just got back to work and pretty much what I did!

Monday, January 17, 2011

College Day 55

A brand new week begins. Though I was not really looking forward to it. Anyways, this morning was nothing special, but I somehow woke up at 8:00am and then gone back to sleep for another 1.5 hours before actually getting off bed!

I was somewhat in a hurry to I rushed through everything. I didn't really have time to slowly make my stuff I just rushed through it! So when I finished eating breakfast, I quickly packed my stuff and got out of the house to get to school! I somehow arrived to school thirty minutes early so I just stood by the classroom door outside and wait while I received text updates for two of the NHL scores.

First class was English. We further discussed the short story, "Bulldog" and talked about diction and immaturity regarding the protagonist and also talked about the claim in an essay! Though, I only paid attention 3/4, since I kept receiving text updates on the hockey game!

After class, I had to get to my history lecture hall since I was running out of time. Luckily, the instructor haven't arrived yet. Though of course when she did, we started our lecture. Our lecture featured the war on the eastern front, when the Nazi decided to invade the Soviet Union, through the launching of Operation Barbarossa. One of Hitler's biggest mistake, which will eventually backfire him! Only thing I didn't know about this lecture was that people called this battle a "Patriotic War," describing how the Soviets are willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of defeating the Nazis. Everything else on the lecture are just reviews for me.

After history, I went to my last class of the day, which is Chinese. Our lesson today involves vocabularies which involves describing food. Okay, just because this is about food, doesn't make me hungry at all. But non or less it was pretty boring. 50 minutes later, class ended and I went home.

When I got home, I had myself a cup of chocolate milk and started to do some reading! Dinner wasn't made until 8:00pm so I finished everything before I had to go down to eat. After dinner, I played some bejeweled deluxe 3 before showering and blogging afterwards!

Hockey Pool Week 14 Recap

Another week done and it had been a roller coaster ride. Though the end of the ride was both amazing and depressing. Everything was executed to plan, until the very last day! I'll get to what happened on the very last day, which is today in a bit.

For my first pool, I played against the most dominant team in the league! He was heavily favored to win, though it was luck that some of his key players were injured. Thomas Holmstrom, Sidney Crosby, Kris Versteeg, Jimmy Howard, Michael Cammalleri and Joe Pavelski. Though, Joe and Michael returned near the end of the week and Jimmy Howard was injured near the end of the week. I became the first person to pull off the first upset. Should I be proud? In a way yes, do I deserve to be proud, somewhat but not that much, because one quarter of his team were out due to injuries. Never or less, I won by a score of 9-4.

In my second pool, I played against the 7th seed team! Only thing I had trouble with was goalie performance. His goalies were spectacular, but for some reason he didn't play some of his goalies when we had the chance. I was fortunate enough, because if he did play those goalies, the score would be a bit more closer. Here is something ironic, I won my second faceoff category and lost my first Hits category. But that's alright, I ended up winning by a score of 11-4. Now that I've finished making up for my 3 consecutive loss, I now had extra wins to spare with! All I need now is another decent win, starting tomorrow to get over .500 record!

So lets get back to the depressing part, at the end of the roller coaster ride. Even though I won both of my matchup for this week, I had to pay and tolerate a huge price. One of my big 5 favorite team is officially done for the year without any accomplishment. The New England Patriots. They lost at home to the hated New York Jets by a score of 28-21. Yes, the taste of witnessing my own team being eliminated to a team I despise is absolutely bitter! It shows when I was eating dinner. I complained about the food taste horrible and didn't really eat anything but drank chocolate milk. Anyways, let history repeats itself! Hopefully the same result will occur like in 2004 when the Jets played the Steelers! In the meantime, the Jets can go fuck themselves.

Recognition: Hey Alvin, props to you for putting up a great fight while bearing all those injuries you had! Good luck to you next week! Please win again!! Your victories will benefit make you look good and at the same time, help me too! So good luck!

Hockey Week 16

About time Kensington hockey resumes! It's been close to a month without hockey and I was totally bored all these time. I woke up at around 9:30am and began house chores which wasted 1.5 hours of my time. I rewarded myself with leftover pizzas from last night.

I was waiting for my friend to get out of bed, but he didn't and I kept waiting and waiting without the result I wanted. Though by 4:00pm, I got everything ready and went downstairs to watch the Canucks game, against the Washington Capitals. Vancouver ended the first period leading 2-1. By then, my friend woke up and had to meet up a guy to get his Chinese textbook. He came to pick me up with just 3:54 left in the second period.

We went to MacDonalds first before fighting our way through the heavy traffic to hockey. I don't know what happened but there were way too many people. We then decided to do King Of The Courts with 3 teams and let the goalies face off against each other. My team was the most stacked but we lost the first and second game. Then we won the 3rd game and lost the 4th game and lost the 5th game. How embarrassing. My line had an even rating, but not good enough!

After hockey, I went with some friends to get KFC and then back to my place to play NHL 11. We played until 1:30pm before I came back to shower!

Recognition: Alvin, I will beat you this week!! And will be the first person to do so! Tomorrow is a big day! I will not give up!! Good luck to the both of us!

College Day 54

Welcome to the fourth day of the week! Apparently, Thursday is my last day of school for the week, before I head towards a three day weekend. There was nothing special about this morning except my excitement for school. How ironic. I got out of bed, hungry and went downstairs to grab whatever I could find. Unfortunately it was macaroni today. Though I didn't care, I just grabbed a bowl and brought it upstairs to my room to eat, while chilling on the computer.

By 10:30am I left the house and looked around only to see majority of the snow melted away! Arriving to campus wasn't a problem anymore. Though I got there around 11:15am. First thing to begin the school day is of course, English. In English 1127, we discussed theme on the two short stories, "Bulldog" and "The Way Of The Wind" and our instructor gave us discussion questions to discuss. That was pretty much the whole class.

After class, I went to the computer lab to relax. Though by 1:35pm, I really had to go take a piss so I left the lab and didn't return. I just sat at the bench texting people while I wait until class time draws near.

In Chinese 1215 today, we learned how to bargain with prices. We also watched a couple of short videos on shopping bargaining scenarios. We also started looking at dialogue 2 before ending the day!

After class, I bused to a friend's place to hang out. At first we played NHL 11 and soon later, another friend showed up and we played a game after. Later, we turned on the TV to watch the second period of the Canucks game. Unfortunately they were down 1-0 and soon lost 1-0 the final.

Later, we went to a Chinese cafe to eat. I had myself rice with seafood creams while my two other friends ordered steak with spaghetti. I was pretty darn hungry, so I was able to finish my orders. They came over to my place to play some more NHL after, before heading home at 9:00pm.

When they left, I went to shower before starting on my blog post!

Recognition: Hey Alvin, I'm not done yet in this week's matchup! My team will pull it through! I believe!! Good luck to the both of us! See you tomorrow at hockey!

College Day 53

Time flies pretty quickly when you're having fun. Though for some reason, time flew by when I'm not having as much fun today. Anyways I put that on there just for you people to know what kind of good thing happened today that has no relation to school.

I woke up at 8:30am since the heater was being a bitch. I opened up my computer as I went to take a shower. And when I'm fresh, I went downstairs to eat my meal before relaxing on the computer. By 10:30am, I left the house only to find myself struggling to walk on the icy road, covered with snow.

I thought I would be late for class, since I was still on the skytrain at 11:00am. However, my time organization magic worked in favor for myself once again. I was able to get to the bathroom, take a piss and arrived to my English class 5 minutes early! In English 1127, our instructor gave us notes on different types of narrators and talked Point Of View. Time flew by quickly, only because I was really paying attention!!

After English, I immediately head to my History lecture hall. We had a lecture about the second world war, and specifically talked about the Battle Of Britain and as well, Operation Sealion. She also talked about the battles that took place in the African region as well. In the second half of the class, we watched a film named, "The World At War" and specifically about what was happening in Nazi Germany during the war.

When History was over, I quickly head to the 3rd floor in Building A, to find the new classroom that we were going to have our class at. On the way, I saw a friend of mine who happened to be on his way. In Chinese lecture today, we went over some grammar that involves using the words: And, Or, Also. We also went over dialogue 1 again that was pretty much the class.

When school ended, I went home and had Wonton. I then went to read what was required for tomorrow's English class and didn't finish it until dinner began! Though after dinner, I started relaxing because my English teacher didn't post up the discussion questions that she said she'll try to do.

College Day 52

Second day of college of the spring semester began today! As the sun rose, I copied it as well, but that is at 9:00am. Anyways, as I got dressed, I went downstairs to get a bowl of fried rice. I was enjoying my food while watching some random Youtube videos until it was 10:30am.

I left the warm/cozy house and it was already so darn cold. My poor bare hands had to endure the bitter cold while I'm walking/listening to music. The bus came 15 minutes after I waited and the skytrain came immediately!

The whole trip took about 15 minutes before I actually started walking to campus! Though I had my first class starting with English 1127. We had a discussion about theme. And actually talked about the movie, "Social Network" and talked about the problem. We also went over the 4 stages of short stories that included, the plot, rising action, climax and falling action, which I remembered almost all of it. So that was it for the class.

Since it's only Tuesday, I don't have History. I went to the computer lab to relax before heading to my Chinese class that eventually will be the last class. In Chinese 1215, we pretty much went over the vocabularies of chapter 5. I didn't really take any notes, but that's just me. I feel like as if I already knew a lot of the grammar stuff.

After class, I went home and started watching the Vancouver Canucks game. The game had already started when I got home and Vancouver already led 1-0. This game is pretty entertaining, many shots were directed by both sides. Vancouver held lead for majority of the game, until the Islanders grabbed a short lived lead as Vancouver tied the game up. The game had to be decided in a shootout. Both sides are 1-3 this year. Vancouver eventually scored twice in the shootout to beat the Islanders! Now it's time to head to New York City, to take on our 1994 rival, the New York Rangers!

After the game, I had dinner and actually went to watch some TV before coming back to start reading for my English! Now I'll be sleeping!!

College Day 51!! ( Spring Semester Begins! )

So! I began my second school semester campaign today! I did however slept pretty darn late last night, so as a result I had a temporary headache this morning, when I woke up. Though it was short lived. As I got out of my bed, I scrambled to get dressed up, clean myself up and went downstairs to get a bowl of noodles.

I left the house at 10:30am and got to school by 11:25am. It was the first day of class so I had to find my classroom, but everything went well! So I began my day with English 1127. Our instructor began the day by introducing us to the course and also made us introduce our classmates in front of the class!

We got off early because there was nothing to do left, so I went to find my history 1130 classroom. It was actually a mini lecture hall! Hell, I don't know anybody in both class!! How sad, so lonely! Anyways, our instructor began the class introducing the course to us! The course outline was outlined in details. So she made us introduce ourselves on a piece of paper before heading to the break. After the break, she began talking about the differences between world war one and world war two. It was pretty fascinating, good thing I didn't fall asleep!

When class is over, I ran to the second floor on A Building to find my Chinese classroom in a complicated location after randomly turning right, I head straight to find my classroom. Now I see many familiar faces from my Chinese class last semester! Apparently our main instructor is still recovering so the substitute is here once again. We began the day with course introduction! And then we had to introduce ourselves to the class!! By then, class is almost over. We did a class survey and went home.

The skytrain was absolutely packed with people. Hell, it was so jammed I could barely breath. I got home at around 4:05pm and ate something before starting on my reading. I read before dinner and after dinner! Now I decided to stop and blog!

Hockey Pool Week 13 Recap

Well, winter break is over! So is the week for my hockey pool. But things starting tomorrow will be very epic! I officially get a second chance to beat the commissioner's team! He is strong, he is smart he is incredible! 13 week winning streak! Was able to find a way to come back and win, if necessary. Nobody has defeated him yet. Last meeting the result came down to the stretch and it had to be decided with the last game of the week! But I fell short by a score of 6-5.

Well, first off this week. For my first pool, it was extremely tight! However, I couldn't keep up with the assist, +/-, Goalie starts, wins, GAA and SV%. So I fell short by a score of 7-6. But, I can see why. My goalies were absolutely terrible this week, no wins and not many loss. But oh well.

Now in my second pool, it was another epic week! I was tied 8-8 for most part of the week, until Saturday night. Ryan Smyth gave me a 9-8 lead by scoring the game winning goal against the Bluejackets. Though some of the major flaws for this week is yes, my goalies as well! And my most reliant team, San Jose Sharks was absolutely horrible in scoring goals. Only total up of 4 goals in 4 games this week! What an absolute joke. Sharks will need to find a way to score, otherwise I will be roasted to ashes!! Hopefully the Blackhawks will suck balls this week!! I did however prevail by a score of 9-7. Oh, I also made a very late change to my roster, I got rid of mason and nittymaki for Niemi! I can still potential in that guy!! Cmon, don't fail me!

Recognition: Alvin, you have done it again! Starting tomorrow, we will be opponents for the next 7 days! Best of luck man! Hopefully we'll have another epic matchup! See you on Friday!!

Hockey Pool Week 12 Recap

Wooo! Another week finished! This week sure have been great for hockey! Why can't we get more of this week! But life is really good for now! I don't know what to say really, but what a superb week it has been for my hockey pool!! Guess what, for the second straight time, I've won in this week's hockey pool matchup for both of my pools. Scoring a total of 11 categories each! 11-1 win and 11-5 win!

In my first pool, I set a career high, registering eight goalie wins and only one goalie loss. Cam Ward and Steve Mason have been spectacular! Tim Thomas didn't win that many games, but was solid enough to win some! My team also contributed to scoring and was good enough for this lopsided win! This is the first time this year that I have scored over 10 categories and I'm on a 3 week winning streak! Keep it up boys!

Now in my second pool, I dominated for majority of the week, but had some challenges at times. I was leading 13-3 going to today's games. What really favored my opponent was the Montreal Canadiens, putting up 50 shots on Pavelec which in one game, erased my 42 extra saves lead in just one game! Boy I was pretty fed up about it and what sucks is that the Habs didn't win the game. Anyways, 11-5 win isn't really that bad. Hopefully my streak will carry on!

Recognition: To the Vancouver Canucks, keep playing the way you guys are playing now! It is exceptionally gorgeous! Keep up the good work in being first overall in the league! Go Canucks Go! To the New England Patriots, well done in the season! Good luck in the playoffs! Remember, play better defense! Your timely interceptions is awesome, hopefully we'll get to see more of that when playoff comes! Can't wait to watch you guys hit the field against either Baltimore or Kansas City. To Captain Alvin! Thank You again for beating Justin this week! It was extremely close, but way to go to pull it off! Good thing nobody has yet to beat you yet, so that might give me a chance! Good luck beating your next opponent!!! Last but not least, to the Canadian World Junior team, good job beating Switzerland today, good luck tomorrow beating the Americans! Let's beat them in their home soil! It's Payback time!

Happy New Years. Say hello to 2011!!!

Guess what! It's officially December 31st of 2010, that means new years is just around the corner! Of course, we call it "New Year's Eve" Anyways, this morning I got up at around 10:00am or so. The sun was shinning! Though I didn't really do anything after waking up, except vacuuming the house! Later, I ate a bowl of fried rice made by my mom.

I did nothing really after except watching youtube videos and listening to music, as I waited for the Canada - Sweden game. The game was everything but retarded. Each team took turns leading by 1 goal and then trailing by 1 goal. 1-0 Canada, 2-1 Sweden, 3-2 Canada, 4-3 Sweden, 5-4 Canada, 6-5 Sweden in shootout. I watched most of the game by myself. One of my friend did arrive at my house midway through the 3rd period. Now that Sweden beat Canada, they now automatically get to go the semi-final and Canada plays Switzerland on Sunday.

Now that's not a good way to start hockey in New Year's Eve. After the game, we played some NHL 11 until the Canucks game began at 5:00pm. I only watched half way of the first period, before going out to pick up friends at lansdowne. Unfortunately I thought my friend already got the food, but he didn't. So there was a long delay. We had to order pizza through phone and sushi by going there to order. All the chaos took around an hour or so before everything is ready.

We got home at around close to 7:00pm, just before the 3rd period began. By then it was all Vancouver, as they lead 4-0. Vancouver eventually wins 4-1. Cory Schneider had a superb game for Vancouver! After the game, we started playing Nintendo Wii Sports and Resort until 11:15pm. One of my friends started taking pictures of glass cups I brought out because we'll be using those cups to drink Champagne when the clock hits 12:00am. In the last 10 minutes or so, a friend was taking pictures of the Champagne glass bottle and we scrambled to pour it on the cup just before 12:00am. We countdown at the last minute and when the clock struck 12:00am we all took our cups and cheered one another and yelled "Happy New Years."

Now the fun part is, we spend the last hour taking lots of photos with our Champagne cups in our hand. I can estimate that we took at least 100 shots. It was fun! My friends started leaving when it was 1:00am. Though one friend stayed behind for a bit because his parents was to come to Ikea to pick him up. My mom gave him a ride there, as I went along too. After I came home, I showered and started blogging!

Recognition: Thanks for coming guys it was fun! Alvin, your Champagne was fucking awesome! Happy New Year to everyone and wish you all the best of luck!
