Now fifteen days has passed since my college campaign has started. I was half waken up at six, so getting up at seven was easier than figuring out what's one plus one. I got dressed and ran downstairs for breakfast.
After breakfast, we left the house and I arrived to school at 8:15am. For the first time, we had to wait outside the classroom until the door was open. No, my instructor wasn't the one opening the door, someone else did. He arrived five minutes after when everybody was waiting.
We started the day, by receiving our essay question, that will be due in one month. I'm choosing between two topics. Those are, "Was The First World War Inevitable?" and "How Was World War One Different From Any Previous Wars?" Unlike the Canadian Studies topic, this was easier to handle. Later on the class, we had a lecture on the Russian Revolution and how Lenin and the Bolsheviks came to power. As well as the Russian civil war and how both sides fought an extremely brutal and a bloodshed war. As far as I remembered, the Red who were the Bolsheviks military, defeated the Royalist, AKA the Whites. Later in the class, we were given propaganda from the past and had a group discussion on it. That was pretty much the class for the day.
In Canadian Studies 1110 today, we spend the first hour and fifteen minutes watching "In Bed With An Elephant" while we had to do questions based on the film. After the film, we took a ten minute break and then had a discussion about the questions based on the film. We didn't have time to discuss the answers for the readings we had to do last class, but we will be doing that next class.
In Mandarin class today, we didn't get our quiz back but that didn't matter anyways. We learned how to bargain further and a few new words. We also started our presentation on bargaining. However the class wasn't really prepared, so our instructor decided to move it on Tuesday.
After class, I went to the student union building to get some free food. I ate a hotdog and grabbed two bags of chips and left. I waited for a friend at the skytrain station to get my textbook back. After, I went home to watch drama and then started doing my readings. At 5pm, I started playing Age Of Empire 2 with a friend. I had been playing Age Of Empire 3 with him so we were pretty rusty at the game. My main problem was that, I forgot how to rebuild my farms after my villagers finished farming. This was a serious issue during the game, because my food resource was so scarce that I couldn't train enough troops. Soon the enemies gang banged me and I was forced to resign, leaving my friend against the two A.Is. He was soon defeated as well, for what reason I don't know. I urged him in the game, before I lost that he should start training military units. I guess he didn't take my advice, but oh well.
After the game, I ate dinner and then started doing some research for my Canadian Studies essay. Now I have a easy history essay in my way as well, I wonder how I should deal with the situation.
Hockey tomorrow!! And then hockey pool draft on Saturday! But right now, I'm going to focus on my work.

College Day 14
Oh my goodness, I've been to class exactly two weeks now. I don't know what to say, except wow! My dad this morning kept nagging me to wake up at 8, because he claimed to have reserved Dim Sum at 9am, which wasn't true.
I woke up at 8:30 and realized he wasn't in the house, so I just did my own things and waited for him, while I studied for my Mandarin quiz. When he returned, he urged me to go and I did so.
We first went to our relative's house, but I decided to stay inside the car to study while listening to music. I waited at least forty minutes until they finally came out, how nice of them -_-.
We went to the same restaurant to eat and I didn't much. I only had a bowl of ducks noodle, three pieces of shrimp dumplings and a sharks fin soup. We managed to finish by 11:30 and my dad drove me to school.
I arrived to school at 12, because I didn't want to stand and wait, I decided to sit at the cafeteria to study for a bit. I left the cafeteria at 12:20 and arrived to class by 12:26.
When class started, we had our quiz right away. I will have to say that pinyin was the hardest part. The translation was easy and the character writing was easy as well, however I realized I made a mistake with one of the characters. The quiz was out of 40. Prediction : 35/40. I will probably say that, my quiz performance today would be similar to how Canada defeated Russia 7-3 in the quarterfinals of the olympics. After the quiz, we learned a new chapter. This time, we learned how to bargain in Mandarin. I didn't actually know that, in China, if the shopper tells the seller that the product sucks, the shopper will most likely get jumped. Typical Chinese people right there!
After class, I went home to watch drama. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode! After drama, I started doing my reading questions all the way until dinner started. After dinner, I continued on my questions when the Canucks preseason game started. They lost 6-2, mainly because the Sharks put out their full starters while Vancouver's team mostly consist of rookies. After the game, I started doing some research before heading to bed.

College Day 13
Not a very bright morning today, as I woke up from my, what it seem to be a long lasting slumber. I got dressed, and rolled downstairs immediately for breakfast. We left the house immediately after we ate.
I arrived to class by 8:15am today. Before our class started, my instructor told us that next class, we will receive our essay question. My goodness, my life will be doomed. In class today, he lectured us on the turning point of the first world war. He also mentioned how propaganda were often used, to persuade people to join the army and fight. We also learned about the U.S joining the war, which pretty much explains how the war favored the allies. Mainly because the German U-boats sank the Lusitania, which carried, Americans and Canadian citizens. However the Germans argued that they were supplying British with ammunition, which is true. The U.S didn't care at all. We had an early dismiss today so it was great.
In Canadian Studies today, we started off the class immediately with the questions to the readings we had to do last time. I don't know what it is, but it seems like I'm still having problems with being shy. Something that I've been trying to overcome for a long time! Even though I got the answer to the questions, when my instructor asked the class, I was still afraid to answer it. I don't know, but I will have to find a way to solve my own problems. I was afraid as if I'm going to be publicly humiliated, which I know isn't true. Will I step up my game? Otherwise it will be game over.
In Mandarin class today, we were at the computer lab today practicing for our quiz tomorrow. Even though I view myself "overqualified" for that class, there were still things I wasn't good with, the pinyins was the main one. I would compare myself to Team Canada in Torino, being a good team but can't accomplish much. However, my results haven't ended like Canada's in 2006. There is still a solid chance I will pull things back together and wing the quiz tomorrow.
After class, I went home, ate something and watched my daily drama. After drama, I started studying for my Mandarin quiz tomorrow. I ate dinner while following the Canucks' preseason game. This time they prevailed over San Jose by a score of 3-1. Nine different Canuck players had points, which was a good sign.
After dinner, I continued on my essay research. My goal is to find at least ten sources by Friday. I found five so far, which means I'm half complete with this week's goal.

College Day 12
Monday again! That means school again. I didn't bother sleeping when the clock struck 9am today. Got out of bed, ate breakfast and went on the computer as I started packing my school stuff. I didn't do much except talked to a few people.
By 11:20am, I left the house and hell it started to rain and I didn't bring an umbrella, nor wore a jacket. I took the 405 bus instead, to Lansdowne Skytrain Station and hopped on the skytrain to Langara station. Right after I got off the skytrain station, I walked a few blocks down to the campus.
I was 10 minutes early today, as usual. Since it was Monday, I only had 1 class and that was Mandarin.
My teacher at first handed back our quiz from last class and hooray for me, 48.5/50. After we had a look at our quiz, we gave the papers back and started reviewing words we've covered last class. Before class was over, we had a practice dictation and I had an average performance, scoring 6/10.
I went home, when class was over and I ate something before watching my drama. After the drama, I started on my homework and had dinner later. Now I'll be continuing doing my paper.

Hockey Week 3
Hooray! It's Friday again, and that means hockey again! I couldn't sleep anymore today, as I was half awaken already. I landed on ground and then started vacuuming the house before I ate breakfast and watched drama.
Later on, I pretty much spend the whole day thinking and preparing on starting my Canadian Studies essay. Thanks to my friend's essay document, it made life a lot easier for me. I pretty much read his essay and his cited links. By 4:40pm, I got a ride from my mom, to a friend's place where I'm going to meet up with him, to go to hockey.
We left at 5:45pm and another friend that we're going to be giving a ride to, was at the door. A friend drove and we left and arrived at Kensington Community Center by 6:05pm.
During warm ups, we were practicing 2 on 1 rushes. Since I'm a defensemen, I'm was defending. Soon more people showed up and we started playing a game. In the first game, my team prevailed without much problems, by a score of 16-7. Most people from the other group left after the first game, so we played a new game on our own. This time my team was edged by a score of 5-3, since our goalie stopped trying.
After hockey, I went home, ate dinner and showered. Now I'll be starting on my readings!

College Day 11
First time it was a rainy and a gloomy in a while. I was able to wake up on time at 7. I ate breakfast while packing my school stuff for the final day of the week. Despite the rain, I decided not to wear a jacket, but my hat itself. I claimed that Vancouver's weather changes way too often and it can't stay still.
I arrived to the campus at 8:20am and arrived to class by 8:26pm. In History 1115 today, my instructor gave us a lecture on the causes of the first world war. He explains how nearly all European nations were dragged into war, by pressures from their allies. He lectured us on some of the major battles, however I wasn't impressed how he didn't spend some time talking about the famous Battle Of Vimy Ridge, since it was Canada's first major victory in the great war. After lecture, we had a group discussion. Not to be arrogant, but I think I've participated the most during the group discussion.
In Canadian Studies class today, we had a lecture on Canada's position in Afghanistan. We had lectures on Canada involvement in Afghanistan and how they sacrificed their lives for the sake of the hopeless people in Afghanistan. Later, we had a discussion group about the readings we had to do a class ago and that was basically it.
After class, a friend and I took the skytrain to Aberdeen Center for some fast food. I spend money on Triple O's while my friend spend money on Chinese food. After lunch, we bussed back to my house, to play some NHL 11. It was very fun, especially when we had several tight games, where I prevailed in all of them, except for the very last game where my friend had all the advantage.
After my friend left, I watched drama. What a very upsetting episode this was. My most favorite actress got stripped off her princess title and was sent to prison for hiring murderers to murder the queen, in which she was clearly framed. Tomorrow's episode will be extremely exciting, I can't wait!
After drama, I showered and then had dinner. I had hot pot again, two days in a row. I didn't eat much, because I was sick of the hot pot food. I also drank half a cup of red wine, which was nothing.
Hockey tomorrow again!! Time really flew by quickly.

College Day 10
Oh man, why does time fly by so quickly. I've officially attended Langara for ten days now. I woke up later today, since I don't have class until 12:30pm.
When I woke up, my parents were already cleaning up the house, only because we're having guest tonight, for dinner. I felt kind of bad for not helping, but believed that, if we're not the host, then we wouldn't need to do all this stuff. I ate breakfast and then went to fold the cloths. After that, I spend an hour reviewing for my mandarin quiz today.
I left the house at 11:20, only to catch the 405 bus. At first I was a bit confused with the routes, but I still managed to get to the Lansdowne skytrain station. By the time I get to langara, it was 12:15pm. As usual, I wasn't late.
Class started at 12:30pm, we immediately began our quiz. The quiz wasn't that hard in my opinion, but I know I made at least two mistakes. That wouldn't matter much. After the quiz, we learned how to ask a specific location in mandarin for the rest of the class. Our instructor also told us that tomorrow there wouldn't be any class, because she wouldn't be able to make it. OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!!!!!
After class, I walked to the skytrain station and took the skytrain to Aberdeen station and bussed home. Once I got home, I watched drama and then went to start on my discussion questions for tomorrow.
My guest came around 6:30pm as we set the tables up for the hot pot dinner. I didn't eat that much considering the fact that there were so many people. I also drank two glass of red wines without problems. After dinner I continued on with my homework, while my friend updated me on the Canucks preseason game. The Canucks were down 2-0 going into the 3rd period. Tied the game at 2 and then lose the game 3-2 in regulation. I don't know what's going on right now, but could the name, Rogers Arena have an effect on it? We'll see on saturday!

College Day 9
A tough morning for me. Since I was exposed to the cold around my room, my body pretty much resisted me in getting out of bed. Though I forced myself out, because I have class at 8:30.
I arrived to class pretty early today. Was probably ten minutes early. When class started, my instructor took attendance and then started lecturing right away. In today's lecture, we talked about the Austrian-Hungarian empire and Russia, including the 1905 Revolution and the Russo-Japanese War. I only managed to jot down two pages of notes. Before the end of class, he gave us a discussion sheet that we need to prepare for next class.
In Canadian Studies today, we had a lecture on Canada's role in the gulf war, also the 9-11 attack on the U.S World Trade Centre in New York and the aftermath of that. Later on, we divided ourselves into groups to discuss the readings that we had last class.
After class, I attended my last class of the day. Since it's Tuesday today, we went to the computer lab to have our lesson. For the whole class, we pretty much practiced for the quiz tomorrow.
When school is done, I bussed Richmond Centre, and waited for my mom at Sears. She bought a vacuum cleaner in February, and had trouble registering for the one year saving plan. We asked the customer service and apparently, they argued that no customers had the problem we've had, and urged us to try again at home. Later on, we went to McDonalds and ate there.
We left for home afterwards and I did my reading just before the preseason game today.
I couldn't say that I was disappointed with the results, considering how in the first game, the Calgary Flames had most of their starting lineups, while the Vancouver Canucks don't even have 1/4 of their starters. The Canucks fell 3-2 to the Flames. In the second game, the game was more even, but Vancouver fell short again. This time by a score of 3-1. If the Canucks had won both games, the Flames would of been humiliated big time.

College Day 8
Monday today, and that means school resumes. I had no trouble waking up today, considering how the rain made so much noise in my room. I ate breakfast, first thing and then went on to my computer to watch some youtube videos and slack off, until school.
By the time I left home, the rain has stopped. Not surprised, when it comes to Vancouver's weather. It changes way too often in one day. I thought I would be late, when I looked at my watch. However, I did it again, by arriving to class on time, somehow.
Since it's only Monday, I have only one class. In Mandarin class today, we had a presentation and we learned a few more words, before it's over.
After class, I got a ride from my mom and we went to superstore to buy stuff. After we came home, I ate something while watching drama. Later on, I read for pleasure and ate dinner before blogging.
NHL preseason will begin tomorrow! Although I wouldn't care too much about it, but because I haven't watched the Canucks since May 11th, I will watch a game just for the heck of it.

Paralympics Event 2011
Because hunger distracted my stomach, I woke up at 9 this morning to eat breakfast. After, I packed my stuff and played a couple of NHL 11 before heading out to Richmond Brighouse station to meet up a few friends.
Later, we bused and walked to Richmond Oval, to participate in the paralympics event ( Sports in a wheelchair). First, we got some souvenir before heading to the gym area. At first, we tried out the paralympics tennis. I listened to the athlete that I had to keep my wheelchair moving all the time and outperformed my 3 other friend in that game.
Later on, we spend at least one hour playing rugby. It was very fun but exhausting. Everybody called me "Luongo," since I was wearing my jersey today.
After an hour of paralympics rugby, we went to try out the paralympics basketball. First game it was a 5 on 4. My team easily prevailed by a score of 10 - 4, and I had to game winning basket. We then played a bit of 2 on 2. This time my team lost by a score of 10-7.
Our last event was the boring curling game. We have a stick to push our rock into the circle area while sitting down. I lost both games, but it was very fun.
We left Richmond Oval after and walked to the bus stop. By then, my arms were extremely sore. We took the 430 to Bridgeport and went inside Ikea to get some refreshments.
A friend and I walked back to my place while my two other friends left for home. We played a few games of NHL 11 before he left for family dinner.
I did spend an hour or so after playing NHL 11 on my own, before going back on my computer and then started reading for my classes. After reading, I watched the B.C Lions game, only to watch them blow a 12 point lead and turn the ball over 4 times in the 4th quarter. Boy was I pissed off! I was, I admit.
Here is a quote I would like to reference to the lions, by Jim Mora : "You can't turn the ball over five times. Holy crap, I don't know who the hell we think we are, when we do something like that. Uh playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope that we could win a game, another game."

Hockey Week 2
I cannot believe I couldn't sleep anymore on a Friday morning, as my feet touched the floor today at 9:30am. Immediately, I turned on my computer just to download the episodes of the two dramas. However, because one of the drama has 2 episodes left, TVB decided to air the last two episodes of "Growing Through Life," instead of one episode and one episode of "Can't Buy Me Love."
The last two episodes of the show was extremely exciting, despite the fact that some of the main characters had passed away. Well, at least the ending was a happy ending.
After the drama, I just kept talking to a friend while photoshopping a wallpaper. Later on, I just played a few games of NHL 11, before my mom coming home.
By 4:30pm I ate something before getting a ride to a friend's place, in which I will be attending hockey with him.
I arrived at his house at 5:05 and we left the house at 5:50pm. On the way, we managed to pickup another friend, who was waiting a bus stop. We managed to arrive to the community centre in 15 minutes.
Our first game in hockey was a major disaster, we ended up losing 15-6. However, in the second game, we absolutely steamrolled our opponent. When hockey was over, a couple of guys from our group stayed behind. At first, I played 2 on 2 hockey with three friends, with no goalies. We ended up losing 5-4. After that, we played a game of 3 on 3 hockey for fun and lost 10 - 4, mainly because I stopped trying until they said we're playing up to 10.
I came home not feeling to well, mainly because I had a stomach discomfort when I was playing hockey.
Tomorrow, I will be attending the event at Richmond Oval! Mainly playing sports in a wheelchair. FUN FUN FUN!!

College Day 7
Excellent! Exactly one week of school day have passed! I wasn't feeling too well this morning but still managed to wake up at 7.
I was somewhat late today, despite being on time. Only because everybody was in the class already, when my instructor began talking. But not about the lecture. In history class today, my instructor spend the class discussing about Germany, Italy and Spain today, about their economic situation. I ended the class with 3 pages of notes written down.
In Canadian Studies class, we began the day talking about the United Nation's adopting the resolution, to forbade Iraq from keeping nuclear weapons and producing them. At the same time, to stop them from killing their own citizens. Our instructor gave us a worksheet question, regarding the readings we had for homework and discussed it.
As for Mandarin class, we were taught how to ask people, "what are you studying right now?" For the full 50 minute, that's what we did.
After class, I went to the bookstore to return my Chinese textbook, because I will be buying a cheaper textbook from a friend tomorrow. Later on, I got a ride from my mom and we head to Fraser to eat PHO.
Next off, we drove to superstore to purchase headphones. Unfortunately my headphones broke last week. R.I.P! My mom after, went to buy mooncakes before dropping me off to a friend's place to play NHL 11.
I lost the first game, 2-1 in a shootout. Second game, lost 6-0 and third game lost 3-0. Later on, I decided to try out playing as a goaltender against my 2 other friends, with a superstar difficulty cpu. I won the first 4 games, before my friends winning the last 2. The last game was pretty entertaining. I teamed up with a friend as the Vancouver Canucks against another friend whose highly skilled with the San Jose Sharks. After trailing behind 2-0 with two bad goals, we scored to make it 2-1. Another bad goal against us, resulting in a 3-1 lead for the opponent. Before the period ending, my partner scored a backhand goal to cut the deficient to 1. In the 3rd period, we took over the game, including the tying breakaway goal I had. We then scored 2 more goals to win the game 5-3.
After NHL 11, I got a ride home from a friend and had dinner, before watching drama.
Tomorrow is the second week of hockey!! Can't wait!!

College Day 6
Even though I don't have class until 12:30 today, I woke up a bit early today, only because I had to go with my dad to the dentist. The whole process took about an hour and we went to Dim Sum to eat.
After eating the sharks fin dumpling meal, I was pretty full and ate a few other shrimp dumpling before stopping. At 11:45, we left and my dad gave me a ride to school.
Apparently, it was Langara Day today, so there were foods and many activities going on, in the hallway. I however, didn't participate in anything.
By 12:30pm, my class started. In Mandarin class today, we spend the class learning how to ask people about their nationality and names.
After class, I went home to watch drama. My goodness, it was intense! Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!

College Day 5
Almost one week of class, but not quite yet. Since I have class at 8:30 today, I had to wake up at 7, half dead. We left the house at 8. I thought I would be late, but again my reputation disagreed. I arrived to class 10 minutes early today.
In History class today, my instructor lectured us on the economy of Great Britain. He pretty much discussed how Britain's economy was starting to get caught up by Germany the United States. He also gave us a lecture about the rights of the workers in Britain during the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. I admit, it was pretty boring taking notes for the entire class, while he speaks pretty quickly.
As for Canadian Studies class, we began the day by filling the countries name in a map worksheet. It seems quite easy, but when we had to do it, it wasn't as easy as it seems. Later on, we got a worksheet with questions of the reading we had to read yesterday. Everybody in the class divided themselves into groups of five to work on it. She also gave us some lectures about the United Nation and it's members taking action against Iraq for the invasion on Kuwait.
In Mandarin class, we went into a computer lab to have our class. At first many of us had trouble trying to log into the computer. But soon everything was solved. We were assigned to do some practice on our exercise book to prepare for our quiz on Wednesday.
After class, I went home to watch drama. It's getting pretty exciting!! I can't wait to finish it!!
Later on, I spend some time reading my textbook, required for Thursday's lesson.

College Day 4
Officially the 4th day of school for me. I didn't wake up until 9:30 this morning. I spend a while on the computer downloading dramas until I really had to rush downstairs to make my breakfast, eat it and get myself out of the house.
As usual I took the 410 bus to the skytrain station and boarded the skytrain to langara station. I walked about 10 minutes from the skytrain station to the campus. I was pretty surprised that I was 15 minutes early. Again, I have the reputation of arriving to places early and never late nor on time.
Since it's only Monday today, I only have one class. During Mandarin class we wrapped up all the piyins and learned a few words before class was over. We pretty much learned how to greet people. My instructor also gave us the quiz format for next Wednesday.
After class, I went home to watch drama, slacked off after and did some readings while watching the Canucks and Sharks prospect game. Vancouver prevailed by a score of 5-3.

Hockey Week 1
Well today was a busy day. I first stormed out of bed this morning to vacuumed and mopped the floor. After that, I ate breakfast while I watched the episode of Growing Through Life and Can't Buy Me Love.
Once I finished watching, I quickly packed my things and head out. I first took the 410 bus to Aberdeen SkyTrain Station and boarded the skytrain to Waterfront station. I waited for the 135 SFU bus on Granville to head to PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) to return my uniforms and get my paycheque. In two weeks, I've earned $572.72.
After getting my paycheque, I left the park to board the 135 bus back to Granville again and got on the Canada line. After getting off at langara station, I took the 49 bus to Fraser, to deposit my cheque. Soon later, I had PHO by myself.
Next off, I bussed to a friend's place, and we played NHL 11 there until we play hockey at 6. Woot! Hockey again aww yeah!!
Our game hockey game didn't start until 6:45 because our supervisor wasn't here. There is a policy that without a supervisor, hockey is not allowed to be played. Despite we started late, we got extra playing time, due to the fact that nobody rented the gym at 8. So we played hockey until 9pm.
The hockey game was pretty even. A friend of mine and I were the goalies, because nobody else wanted to go in. My primary position is defense and not goalie, therefore I stood no chance of winning. However the score was much closer than we all thought would be. Both teams traded goals for most part of the game until the other team prevailed with a 4 goal differential. I couldn't be more pleased with the way my team played.
After hockey, I got a ride home and now it's time to recover from the cold and my bruised knee =P

College Day 3
It's Thursday already! Last day of class before the weekend. This morning, I woke up half sick, mainly because I had a stuffy nose and caught a cold.
I woke up at 7, had breakfast and went to school.
In my history class today, my instructor pretty much spend the whole class talking about philosophical ideas, arts and literature. My start to finish, I spend the entire class jotting down 4 pages of notes. I admit, it was exhausting, for my fingers.
In my Canadian Studies class, we first spend the class brainstorming descriptions with Canada and the United States' national animal. Later on, we jotted down all the Canadian and American Heroes from the past. My instructor also handed out the essay question that will be due in about a month and a half.
My Mandarin class went by pretty quickly today. We just spend the whole class combining piyins together and learn a few characters.
After class I went home and pretty much slacked the whole day.
Hockey tomorrow!!! I can't wait!

College Day 2
Day 2 of college, began my day when I woke up at 9 this morning to get packed up for my only class of the day at 12:30.
My dad came home at 10 to pick me up and we went to Dim Sum for breakfast. The food there was okay and I filled myself up, so I shouldn't be complaining.
After we ate, my dad dropped me off at the campus and I went to the bookstore to check out for used textbooks. Unfortunately, there were none for the courses I took.
Class started at 12:30. My instructor pretty much spend the whole class with piyins. After class, I went home to watch drama.
I also tried out my NHL 11 game. It was fun, but the goal horns needs a lot of work!

Day 1 College
Today is officially the first day of school. After a long summer break, it's time to face the instructor, inside a classroom.
Class started at 8:30 in the morning, therefore I had to wake up all dead and sleepy at 7. Left the house at 7:45 and arrived at the campus at 8:15.
My first class of the day was History. My instructor, a married man with 2 childrens seemed to be very enthusiastic about teaching the course. When we had our lecture today, his voice would increase to some parts that he believed was fascinating. We pretty much spend our class going over the course outline and then we had notes. Class ended at 10:20 and I was off to my next class.
My second class was Canadian Studies. My instructor was a historian, but didn't really tell us more. She seemed to be a nice person. We pretty much spend the whole class brainstorming ideas regarding American powers in Canada. By 11:30, she let us off early and then I went to my last class of the day, while waiting until class started.
My Chinese class was pretty boring. At first we had to fill out a survey, based on our chinese background. Some people was kicked out of the class because their chinese knowledge was too great for the learning in the course. After class I had to talk to her, and she said she'll keep me in the class for now, and she'll go and have a look at my transcript. This sucks, because there is still a chance I might get withdrawn from the class, something I didn't want, to happen.
After class, I waited at the student union building to get obtain my student upass. I officially waited for 2 hours and 23 minutes before finally getting it. I head to the skytrain station after to take the train to Best Buy, to purchase my most desired game, NHL 11 for PS3!!!!! The game costed $78. I then bussed home and now I'm relaxing!
Hopefully I don't get withdrawn from my chinese class =P

2009-2010 Summary
Today is officially the last day 2009-2010 year and a new chapater unfolds tomorrow! What a crazy year this had been despite not everything going the way I desired, sports, personal life etc. Here are some of it I would like to share, the bad ones and the good ones.
NFL Football : Well Tom Brady returned into the lineups after being out of the season last year, when the Patriots missed the playoffs with a 12-4 record. The Patriots this year was okay.... finishing the season with a 10-6 record. The playoff was pretty disappointing, as they were edged by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round. Despite the Patriots losing in the first round, I was glad to witness the New Orleans Saints upsetting the hated Indianapolis Colts in the superbowl. What a game it was, witnessing Saints quarterback Drew Brees outdueling Peyton Manning of the Colts. So, it wasn't really a bad year after all.
NHL Hockey : With the addition of Mikael Samuelsson, Tanner Glass and defensemen Christian Ehrhoff, Aaron Rome and Andrew Albert and backup goaltender Andrew Raycroft. The Vancouver Canucks finished the season with a 49-28-5 record, topping the NorthWest Division two years in a row, while finishing second for being the best offensive team in the league. Henrik Sedin also won his first career Art Ross Trophy and Harts Trophy for accumulating the most points and being the player of the year. As a Canucks fan, I was impressed to see him win it. During the 2010 stanley cup playoffs the Canucks played the Los Angeles Kings and advanced to the second round in 6 games, but the playoff campaign has came to an end, after losing to the eventual stanley cup champions, the Chicago Blackhawks, when they beat the Philadelphia Flyers in 6 games. I admit I didn't like the outcome, but I couldn't say I was upset mainly because the overtime goal by Patrick Kane was hilarious. I laughed every single bits of it with a few friends who was at my place that day.
NBA Basketball : The Phoenix Suns with the addition of Channing Frye as bench, the Suns finished the season with a 54-28 record, placing 3rd in the western conference. In the first round, they faced the Portland Trail Blazers and ended the series in 6 games. The Spurs were up next in the second round. After years of elimination in the post season by the Spurs, the Suns showed no mercy, as they took a 4 game sweep over the San Antonio Spurs. In the western conference final, the all powerful Los Angeles Lakers was their opponent. After trailing 2-0 in the series, the Suns tied the series at 2, including a 50 points combined performance by the Suns' bench in game 4. In game 5, the momentum belonged to the Lakers after Jason Richardson nailed the 3 point tying basket, as Ron Artest had the buzzer beater to win the game and the Lakers would go on to win the series and the championship, after beating the Boston Celtics in the finals. Yes I admit, I was pretty upset when Lakers won, but got over it the next day.
Fifa world cup : Not really impressed with England's performance this year, from start to finish. In the first two games, they finished with a tie against the Americans and the Algerians. They still managed to qualify for the round of 16, after beating Slovenia on the final game, but could not top their group. Was furious after losing 4-1 to the Germans in the first round after a horrible start and a disallowed tying goal by Frank Lampard. Despite losing to Germany, England didn't do as bad as Argentina, who collapsed right after their second goal against. However, the hated Portugal lost to Spain, which made me felt better. When Spain beat Germany in the semi final I was delighted. Thanks to Paul The Octopus for predicting Spain winning. Spain would eventually go on to win the world cup by beating Netherland in the final. What a day it was watching the finals outside of a restaurant with dozens of soccer fans.
Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics : I'm totally speechless when it comes to this because the winter games was just absolutely AMAZING!!! Canada has made history by achieving the most gold medals won, by a host nation in winter olympics history. After a very slow start, Alex Bilodeau was the first Canadian Athlete to win gold in the 2010 games for Canada. Later on, 13 more gold medals were won, end of the first week and all the way to the end of the olympics. I had a very fun 2 weeks, joining up with a group of friends to watch Team Canada rock the ice from the start of the prelims all the way to their gold medal victory over the Americans. I cannot be more happy on February 28th at downtown Vancouver celebrating with many other Canadian supporters than any other olympic days, by far the best day of the year!
Hockey Pool : Yes, hockey pool. A very slow start, earlier during the season due to injuries with winger Patrik Elias and center Eric Staal. While my two main goalies, Tomas Vokoun and Carey Price also played poorly for me. My season turned around following a 11-3 win against the team that finished 3rd last year. With the addition of winger Corey Perry and defensemen Shea Weber, my team started improving. When Patrik Elias and Eric Staal came back, I dropped my two main goalies for two other goalies, Jaroslav Halak and Jimmy Howard. This seem to be the perfect combination as my team finished 4th in the regular season. In the playoffs, after facing the 3rd seed team and prevailing by a score of 8-3, I go on to win the championship by beating the first two seed teams capturing 8 of 14 categories in each of the matchups. I also proved that being a high scoring team is not the right winning formula, especially in the post season. That happened to me last year, in the regular season I finished first but in the playoffs, my players just stopped producing, while my head to head opponent racked up all the categories with decent scoring. So I'm officially the 2010 hockey pool champs!!
Driving : Okay, when it comes to driving, I just get annoyed easily. Mainly because I do not enjoy driving at all, but I still had to take lessons. After a few months of lesson, I took myself and took the road test. Despite having a very easy examiner, nervousness and inexperience had a negative impact on me. Also, driving too slowly, shoulder check inconsistency and car adjustment were my major problems during the exam. I had a few more driving lessons before attempting the road test. Thanks to the motivation of the Roberto Luongo jersey that my mother offered to get me if I passed, I was able to pass the road test on the second attempt. Later during the day, I received my desired Luongo jersey! (FYI, I ditched family dinner on the day I failed my first road exam, to watch the Vancouver Canucks prevail over the Los Angeles Kings in game 4 of the quarterfinals by a score of 6-4!!)
Also been to places I haven't visisted for such a long time. Was at Kitslano Beach with a few friends to watch the fireworks. I've attended the Mexican, Spanish and China's session. Had a lot of fun and I couldn't ask for more. Also, we went to watch Taming The Shrew. Despite the fact I haven't studied the play yet, it was a lot of fun. especially when we had French food for dinner before we watched the play.
I returned to work as a PNE Sweeper this year, even though I didn't want to go back, I met new people and made new friends with the people in my crew.
School starts tomorrow and I will totally miss all the fun I had this year! Hope for the best in 2011!!
