Another firework event took place at Vancouver yesterday. I was pretty excited about it, as I rolled off my bed at 9:30am in the morning. Apparently, my dad had no work yesterday. Therefore, as a family, we went to Dim Sum at a Chinese restaurant. That being said, we didn't head out until 12:30pm, since that was when my mom stepped foot at home. I'd spend the entire time watching Hong Kong drama.
As usual, whenever we went out to eat, my parents made me drove the car even though I declined. Yes, I'll repeat it again. I hate driving!!! Though, I was lucky enough to reach there.
Dim Sum was alright, though at first I thought I could eat a lot. However, after feeding myself the entire Sharks Fin Soup, it seemed like I didn't want to eat anything, anymore. But that being said, I still ate a few extra stuff to satisfy my tummy.
After Dim Sum, we went to Zellers to look at new shoes. The first problem was that the shoes were too big, but later, I found a shoe I like and my dad claimed that the other shoe looked better. We decided to purchase both but realized that the pair of shoes my dad thought was better, had no discount. In conclusion, we only bought the pair I chose, Owned!!!
We drove home right after. Again, my parents made me drive!! By the time we got home, it was around 3:30pm. I'd spend an hour on my computer while packing my stuff for the fireworks, before heading out to take the 430 bus to Vancouver.
I arrived very early, so I went to the gas station and purchased a bottle of sprite plus a couple bag of chips. I also didn't expect to see a friend who happened to be working there. I then head to 7-11 to get a Slurpee before busing to a friend's house.
I arrived around 5:30pm and apparently, he just woke up from a good afternoon nap. We waited for another friend, who arrived around 6:40pm.
We slowly walked to 41st avenue to take the 20 bus to Broadway. A friend of ours was hungry. He went inside McDonalds to purchase two extremely small burgers. At first, we thought we would miss the 99 express bus, because my friend didn't get his burger when the bus came. However, we still managed to get on board.
We all got off at Arbutus street and we ended up walking to Kitsilano Beach, to meet up with a friend and her boyfriend. It was my first time meeting him. My two other friends met him once already. He seems like a pretty nice guy, in my opinion. Right after a friend finished his burger, we skipped rocks. Yes, I really enjoyed skipping rocks. I was surprised that Kitsilano Beach had many flat rocks. We also threw a football around. A must-see incident was when a friend of mines got sacked twice. One was when I threw the ball to him, he missed the catch and received the blow. The other time, my other friend threw the ball to him. He caught it beautifully with one hand, but couldn't recover and therefore, resulting in his second incident.
By 10pm, the fireworks started. To my memory, one of my friend said, "I won't expect much from Mexico anyways." I told him that Mexico might put on a good show. The Mexicans had a strong start in the beginning. However, their performance were only average at best for most part, even though they had some really gorgeous ones. It reminds me of the Sine Graph. Good start, then starts dropping and then gets back up again. I'd spend the entire fireworks session recording footage of it. Luckily I was able to record the whole thing! The Mexicans finished off their fireworks show with many blast.
After, we headed home. Now in my previous blog, I wrote that it was the Italian's show on Wednesday. Apparently, it wasn't. I apologize for the mistake. Now hopefully I get to see some extreme fireworks from China on Saturday!

A Night Of Team Spain's Fireworks
As far as I know, I was pretty excited about the fireworks from yesterday evening. As I rolled off my bed, I spend a while on my computer before having my "Brunch" meal (Breakfast and Lunch).
I'd spend the next 2.5 hours playing NHL 10, before dressing up and packing my stuff at 3:30pm. I'd then left the house around 3:45pm to catch the 430 bus at Bridgeport. After reaching Vancouver, I boarded the 20 Downtown bus to 41st Avenue and ate Mcdonalds before heading to a friend's house.
As said, I was the first to show up since I needed his photoshop program. The rest of our group arrived around 6 and we boarded a friend's car, to the fireworks.
We settled at Kitsilano Beach around 7:30pm. Another friend and I took pictures of the pacific ocean along the beach shore, since we're the only ones with cameras.
Here was another thing, I accidentally dropped one of his rings attached to a handle on his tripod and it was lost. As a punishment, I helped him out when he was setting up his tripod. I also helped him crank the Duracell Emergency Radio/Light Source.
By 10pm, the Spanish fireworks started. I recorded it on my camera. Despite recording most of it, the battery died at the last part! I couldn't believe it at all!!!
Anyways, the fireworks ended around 10:25pm. We left the beach right after and headed home.
Overall, it was a fun day despite the incident. Hopefully the Italian one would be better!

Party Party Party!!!
An awful Saturday morning, as I rolled out of bed at 8:30am to start cleaning the house up, for the party tonight. I vacuumed the floor, cleaned my room, while my sister cleaned the washroom and her room. My mom cleaned the windows and her own room.
We finished around 10, and ate lunch at a nearby restaurant at 11, and came back around 12. After, we started making food for the party, just before my mom's friends arrived at 2.
While they played Mahjong, I was on my laptop while playing my NHL10 on my PS3. When everybody came, I was doing my part of being a good host by serving all the guest. I even took on a bigger role by serving wines to the adults too.
I had a glass of red wine. I particularly despise the taste of red wine. It's extremely awful and it makes my food taste bad. After dinner, I played NBA 2K10 with a few friends just before they left. The process of cleaning up the house, was much quicker than I had expected. 25 minutes of cleaning up a house full of mess =P

Canada Spanish Day!
The world cup final started today. As I rolled off my bed I didn't really eat anything and headed out to 49th Avenue in Vancouver, to meet up with a few friends in which we would bus down to commercial drive to watch the World Cup Finals, between Spain and Netherlands.
On the bus, there were few Spanish and Dutch supporters showing their pride towards the teams. We did met up with a friend and his church friend, and we scrambled to find a place to watch the game, mainly because it was pretty full inside, for most of the cafe.
We did find a restaurant, but we had to stand outside to watch, because it was full inside. Though I was able to see the screen quite clearly, despite not able to see the Spanish player properly, due to their dark blue uniforms. There were many Spanish supporters, though there were some Dutch supporters as well.
The Spanish took action early, with a few scoring chances but couldn't capitalize. The Dutch had a few also but couldn't do anything as well. Though, the first half was entertaining, due to many foul calls by the refs. One Dutch player even fly kicked a Spanish player in the stomach. Ouch!
The second half was pretty fun to watch also. Scoring chances were created by both sides but no one can score. Iker Casillas was brilliant for Spain, making several big saves to prevent the Dutch from scoring. So many "Awwwws" and "Ooooos" from the crowd and myself. The second half would remain 0-0 and the game went to extra time.
In the first half, nobody scored, but in the second half, Andres Iniesta from Spain finally broke the tie with a very late goal, to give Spain a 1-0 lead. When that goal was scored, me and the other Spanish crowd all cheered our ass off! As the clock runs down, SPAIN WINS THE WORLD CUP!! Hell was I cheering so hard with the rest of the crowd!
On the street, people were dancing and chanting and cheering! Apparently, a soccer ball was tossed around for people in the crowd to play around with. Later on, I took a picture with the Mascot with my friend's church friend before we left to eat.
We had burgers and fries later on, and then we walked to the skytrain station to Metrotown bus terminal and bussed to 49th Avenue. I walked back to 53rd Avenue to 7 eleven for some free slurpee, since it's July 11th. Later, when I got home, I gamed all day and had dinner!
Finally the world cup has came to an end. It had been fun! Now I'm going to miss it =(

FiFa World Cup Day 24 - Fuck The SoftRiders
Awww, I'm really starting to miss the world cup now. Today was the second last day for the 2010 Fifa world cup. I woke up around 10 this morning, and went down for breakfast, and was on the computer just before the 3rd place game between Germany and Uruguay.
The meaningless game was pretty entertaining, with Germany taking a 1-0 lead, on a rebound shot. Uruguay later tied the game, when they perfectly stripped the ball from Germany and countered to score.
The second half was by far the most entertaining part. Diego Forlan of Uruguay took a pass and just took a shot, though it hit the ground first and then towards the net. THe German goalkeeper had no chance, because it was not what he anticipated. Germany later responded with a goal, by heading the ball in on a beautiful cross pass, tying the game at 2 Germany later scored again during a mad scramble in Uruguay's crease with a header, Germany takes a 3-2 lead. Diego Forlan had one last glorious chance on a free kick, but his shot hits the crossbar and it stayed out. Germany ended up winning the game, by a score of 3-2.
After the game, I pretty much did nothing, but was on the computer. Later, I had a friend over to play NHL 10 for about an hour, before he left.
Later, I watched part of the B.C Lion's game, taking on the hated RoughRiders. 37 - 18 win for the SoftRiders.

FiFa World Cup Day 23 - Sen-Sa-Tion-Al
La La La La!! Yay! 23 days has passed since the beginning of the world cup. I woke up at 9am, ate breakfast and then head to a friend's place to watch the last semi-final game of the world cup, between Germany and Spain. I had high hopes for the Spanish team before the game.
The first half, Spain pretty much dominated, but couldn't score. The Germans looked pretty mediocre with their performance. They couldn't really get any offense going, as Spain controlled the ball very well, with David Villa and Puyol getting the only chance for Spain.
The second half was extremely entertaining. At first it seems like Germany were going to turn things around, but Spain shortly took over once again. They looked more dangerous, with waves of attack after attack. David Villa missed a slide kick on a cross pass. The entire Spanish bench reacted hilariously. One of my friend was laughing his ass off. Finally, Spain draws first blood, when Puyol received a cross off a corner kick and headed the ball beautifully past the German netminder. Here is a quote from Bob Cole, a hockey commentator for CBC. "It had to come, you knew it had to come." This works, since Spain pretty much gave everything they had and finally broke through.
This finally woke Germany up as they started to press a bit. They could only generate one scoring chance, but Iker Casillas turns him away. Although Spain countered attack, Pedro was 2 on 1 rushing to the German's zone, his teammate was wide open and yet I didn't know what he was trying to do, but he didn't pass to his wide open teammate and the German defender took the ball away. The final score was 1-0 Spain, OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!!!!!!!
After the game, we played a bit of NHL10 before we headed home. It was an extremely hot day today. When I got home, I showered and then went on the computer.
We had dinner early today, though I ate Crabs! Yum! I also had ice-cream right after I drank my soup.
Later, I bussed to Vancouver, to play soccer with people. I was the goalkeeper and played pretty well, I stopped a penalty shot that temporarily turned the game around. But when I left, my team collapsed. After leading 2-1, they lost 6-2. YIKES!!!

FiFa World Cup Day 22
Shit.. the world cup is coming to an end pretty quickly. Today, I woke up at 10am and waited for an hour before I ate Brunch,( Breakfast + Lunch ) while watching the all exciting game between Netherlands and Uruguay.
Netherlands opened the scoring with a spectacular goal, and then Diego Forlan from Uruguay responded with a beautiful goal of his own, to tie the game 1-1 after the 1st half.
Netherlands in the second half took the lead with some good passing plays, eventually the shot was deflected in. Netherlands then had another goal with Robben headbutting a pass that the goaltender had no chance of saving. Uruguay made things interesting by scoring a very late goal to pull themselves within one goal. Though the refs gave them a bit more time to play, they couldn't take advantage of it, as a result, the Dutch won and advanced to the finals.
After the game, I did nothing but later went with my mom to Oakridge mall, had A&W and then went home.
Later, I bussed to Vancouver to play soccer with my friends there, and we lost 3-1.

FiFa World Cup Day 21
Yay! Exactly 3 weeks since the 2010 Fifa world cup began. I woke up 3 minutes into the game, between Germany and Argentina and Germany already led 1-0, scored by Thomas Mueller.
Argentina couldn't get any offense going for the rest of the game, and Germany would prevail by a score of 4-0. I was utterly shocked by it, because I thought this was going to be a close game, but it turned out lopsided.
After the game, we left home for breakfast and then headed to Richmond Centre to get my watch fixed. It costed 12 bucks for a repair.
Later, we headed home just in time for the Spain vs Paraguay game. This game was so much better than the game earlier.
Spain and Paraguay were scoreless at the half. All the excitement began in the second half when Spain was charged for a penalty shot, because a Spanish player held a Paraguayan down in the defensive zone. I thought Spain were done, but Iker Casillas stopped the penalty shot to save Spain. About a minute later, David Villa was held down in the offensive zone, trying to chase after the loose ball and Spain was given a penalty shot! Wow!
At first, they scored, but the referee said they had to do it again, because people entered the zone when the ball wasn't even kicked yet. This time, the Paraguayan goalkeeper was able to make the save and Paraguay was saved.
At 83rd minute, David Villa finally scored for Spain, with the Spanish putting on some nice passing plays. At the 89th minute, Iker Casillas saved Spain again, with a critical save off his right foot, when a Paraguayan player chased and shot the rebound shot towards him.
Although the referees had a late whistle to end the game, Spain still managed to win 1-0, and will be heading to the Semi-Finals to face Germany.
After the game, I was on the computer doing nothing, but listening to music. Though later, I played Basketball, and went home for dinner.

FiFa World Cup Day 20
Wow, almost 3 weeks already since the beginning of the 2010 Fifa world cup?!?! Awesome!! This morning, I woke up 30 minutes late to watch the Brazil vs Netherlands game. When I opened up the TV, Brazil was already up 1-0. Though, they didn't score after that.
In the second half, Netherlands tied the game when a Brazilian accidentally headed a centering pass past the Brazilian goalie. For the rest of the game, the Dutch frustrated Brazil, by scoring the leading goal. Later, a Brazilian was given a red card for stepping on a Dutch player. So the final score was 2-1 Netherlands! UPSET!!!! See you later Brazil!!
After the game, I got dressed, bussed to Vancouver and walked to return my friend's pump while heading to another friend's house to watch the Ghana vs Uruguay game. Ghana shockingly took the lead right before the half time.
Uruguay in the second half would tie the game, off a freekick by Diego Forlan. It was a beautiful goal, in my opinion. The game would be tied the rest of the way, but one of the most epic moment was when Uruguay was charged for a penalty shot with seconds left before the penalty shootout. Ghana was given the GREATEST oppurtunity to end the game right there. Unfortunately, the shooter shot the ball way too high and Ghana missed an EXCELLENT semi-final birth. Right after that, I knew Uruguay would take the oppurtunity to win the game.
They did just that in the penalty shootout. They won 4-2, to silence the entire stadium. Yes, the entire stadium was utterly filled with African supporters.
After the game, I stayed at my friend's house for about 7 hours straight, before heading to my high school's grass field to play football. I accidentally fell backwards and bumped my head, ouch! Also, I accidentally cut my fingers and it won't stop bleeding. However, that didn't stop me from playing. My team won by a score of 6-4. I finished the game with 1 touchdown and 3/4 catching percentage.
Tomorrow, I'm watching the Germany vs Argentina game and Spain vs Paraguay game!

Happy Canada Day!!!
There were no Fifa soccer games going on today, so I woke up a bit later. I woke up at around 10am just for the heck of it.
Today was Canada Day, so I quickly got dressed, ate breakfast and waited for a few friends to go on MSN, while I was talking to some other friends. By 12:30pm, I left the house, took the 410 bus to the Skytrain station and head to WaterFront station to meet up with a friend.
We did meet up with another friend before we finally meet up with our other friend and we head towards the Convention Centre. We took pictures while we tour around the 1 billion dollar Convention Centre.
After that, we headed towards Canada place just to look at stuff. By 4:30pm, 2 friends went home first, and me and another friend went to meet up with 2 friends at Pender and Graville. We then head towards Canada Place once again, to meet up with 2 other friends at the Military room.
After, we smoked our way to the BC Soccer World's room. We watched a soccer game where two handicapped teams played, it was pretty entertaining. Later, a couple of friends and I went to try out for the hardest shot in soccer. Only my friend got 47MPH while we all achieved a 44. Later, only one of my friend tried out for the jumping competition. He epically failed to touch the last bar at the top.
Later, we went to the Convention Centre once again, for a short period of time and then we ended up watching a show where this girl performed, before 2 of our buddies left for home, and then we went to grab something to eat. After that, we found a spot where we could sit down to watch the parades. It lasted for about an hour or so, and then another friend met us.
We then watched a Magician perform some magic shows. That guy was pretty entertaining to watch, especially what he said. After that, we left to find something to eat. My friends ended up going to McDonalds. Surprisingly I bought an ice-cream too.
Later, we waited at the skytrain station for two of our friends who left for home earlier, and then head to Coal Harbour to watch the fireworks. We enjoyed the fireworks for a good 18 minutes, while one of our friend desperately tried to get his Camera working, for the perfect shot.
After the fireworks we went to the Olympics Cauldron to take pictures for one last time, before we head to the skytrain station at 11:30pm.
Fun day during Canada Day!! Look forward to it next year!!
