After a rainy morning, the weather here in Vancouver became better as time progressed. I woke up at 10:30 am today, because I slept late last night.
I had to check whether or not people canceled their appointment for their road test. As usual, no luck with that happening.
My mom decided to take me and my sister out for lunch, along with one of her friend. Therefore, I scrambled to get dressed. I wore a t-shirt, along with a sweater and my Vancouver Canucks Jersey on top of that.
Do I feel hot wearing three clothing? Not at all. However I felt that I became fatter, having my Jersey over my sweater and my t-shirt. Anyways, to show my Canucks pride, I felt proud wearing my jersey as I went out with my mom and sister.
We went to a Chinese restaurant for Dim Sum. Surprisingly, my little sister ordered a heck load of food. She claimed that she would be able to finish all of her orders. As expected, she couldn't finish all of it. Ironically she finished 4/5 dishes she had. After lunch, we went home.
I did nothing at home, except going on Youtube, chatting on MSN and listening to music. Game 6 between the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles King, in which Vancouver can eliminate the Kings with a victory tonight. Three of my friends couldn't come, so therefore only one of my friend made it to my place. I had cousins over for dinner today also.
The game started at 6 instead of 7. Los Angeles had a dominant performance in the first period, scoring a goal by Alexander Frolov on the wrap-around. The first period ended with the Kings outshooting Vancouver 16-5 and a 1-0 lead.
In the second period, I couldn't believe what I saw. Roberto Luongo made a fucking unbelievable save, when he robbed Ryan Smyth with the glove after he was down. Game saving stop baby! Perhaps the save of the series, and maybe even the save of the year! The only thing I said after that was, "Holy fuck, you got to be kidding me."
Minutes later, Los Angeles as penalized and Vancouver went on the powerplay. Steve Bernier would tip in a shot from Alexander Eder pass a shaky Jonathan Quick and the game is tied 1-1. Vancouver started pressuring in the Kings' zone and Daniel Sedin took a penalty at the end of the shift, putting L.A to the powerplay. Vancouver managed to kill off the penalty, but they couldn't get the puck out of the zone, and Drew Doughty scored on a slapshot, short side pass Roberto Luongo and leads 2-1 for L.A. The second period ended with L.A up 2-1 and outshooting Vancouver 26-11.
During the intermission, I was pretty much all nervous about the 3rd period. From what I've seen. Vancouver usually dominate in the third period. I was hoping they would live up to their reputation. Thank goodness, I got what I desired.
The third period was showtime for Canucks. Kevin Bieksa scored after receiving a pass from Henrik Sedin and the game is tied 2-2. I cheered along with my other friend and we high fived again. With just 2 minutes to go, DANIEL SEDIN SCORED!!!! Wow, biggest goal of the series now!! Vancouver leads 3-2. I decided not to celebrate so early, because the Kings still can tie the game.
Just with a bit over a minute left in the game, Alex Burrows sealed the deal with an empty net goal to put Vancouver up 4-2. I started celebrating a bit crazier this time. However my friend reminded me that I should save it until the clock reaches 0, because the night Vancouver clinched the NorthWest Division Title, Minnesota tied scored two goals under a minute to tie the game. This didn't happen, as the clock reached 0, I started celebrating like mad. VANCOUVER HAD ADVANCED TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS!!!! I even gave my friend a hug as we watched the line handshake and the post game show.
After that, my mom gave my friend a ride home, and we head back after.
I guess wearing my jersey over my sweater and my t-shirt today was worth it. Even though I started sweating a bit.
Now Vancouver awaits for their next opponent in the playoff. It will either be against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Phoenix Coyotes or the Detroit Redwings. Personally, I hope Nashville will beat Chicago, and Phoenix will beat Detroit, so Vancouver can play Phoenix. Anyways, well done boys! Good luck in the second round!
As for tomorrow, I will be a Predator bandwagon, just for the rest of that series! Go Preds and Go Yotes.....

One More Step To The Finish Line
With the cold weather in the morning and all the way in the afternoon, I spend the whole day at my house, waiting to watch game 5 between the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings.
I woke up around 8:30 am, because I couldn't sleep anymore. The house was literally cold. I decided to go on the computer for a while and was on for about an hour, before I started my house chorus.
I vacuumed the house for about an hour before I ate breakfast. I had sushi and spaghetti. I know it is a weird combination, but I didn't care. I ate whatever my mom makes.
I ate breakfast and watched Suspect In Love, aka a Hong Kong drama.
Afterwards, I didn't really do much except that I watched videos on youtube and talked to my friends on MSN, about coming to my place to watch the playoff game. I also spend some time reading the Canucks forum. One of the threads I read was about a Canucks fan ranting how poorly his group was treated by the Kings fans. Though I believed he kind of exaggerated a bit, when he mentioned that a gorgeous female L.A Kings fan, called him a pussy, because he and his group of four didn't want to fight a group of 30 L.A Kings fan. I was surprised that someone getting outnumbered by this much, got called a pussy. This shows how low Kings fan can get. I later waited for my buddies to show up.
They did came at 5 pm, and we played some NHL 10 and then we played Super Smash Brawl on Wii, for the last hour. I ended up outperforming all of my other friends. However, I would of played better if I was using a gamecube controller instead. Anyways, we stopped at 7, because that was when the game started
The first period, was pretty solid. Vancouver opened the scoring when Steve Bernier buried a rebound, when Kyle Wellwood miss the net with the one timer shot, and Vancouver took a 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Vancouver was penalized and the Kings, as usual scored, when Michael Hanzus banked a pass off Canuck defencemen Christian Ehrhoff to tie the game 1-1. Even though the Kings scored on this powerplay, I did not blame Vancouver for this, because L.A was 1/2 on the powerplay after this goal. Also, Vancouver was just unlucky on that play. Later in the first period, Vancouver was on the offense again, and Alexander Edler scored from a pass by Jannick Hansen, that trickled past netminder Jonathan Quick, to take a 2-1.
The second period was better than the first period. Vancouver, 5 on 5 again went on the attack, and Daniel Sedin scored off his own rebound, giving the Canucks a 3-1 lead. Later in the period, the Sedins were on the attack again, 5 on 5. With some teamwork passing, they set up Mikael Samuelsson as he rifled a slapshot past Jonathan Quick, and Vancouver leads 4-1. Jonathan Quick was then replaced by backup goalender, Erik Ersberg I was high fiving every single one of my friends, for each goals Vancouver scored. Near the end of the period, Vancouver was called for 2 penalties. Although the second penalty was terribly called, Vancouver still managed to kill it off without surrendering any powerplay goals. My friends and I were amazed what we actually saw. Vancouver killed off 2 straight penalties! That is unbelievable! The second period ending with Vancouver up 4-1. I went out with one of my other friend, and bought Mcdonalds back, just when the 3rd period started a while ago.
Vancouver took over the game in the 3rd, started off when Pavol Demitra blasted a slapshot, shortside on the blocker side of Erik Ersberg and Vancouver takes a 5-1 lead. The largest lead of the series. Not even one minute later, the Kings responded with a goal by Freddy Modin and the leads back to 3, 5-2 Vancouver lead. As time progressed in the game, L.A was penalized and Vancouver went on the powerplay. Mikael Samuelsson would snipe a shot past Erik Ersberg and Vancouver is up 6-2. Can you believe this guy? 2 Goals in game 1, 1 goal in game 2, 1 goal in game 3, 1 goal in game 4 and 2 goals tonight. I was surprised, along with my friends that Erik Ersberg was pulled and Jonathan Quick was back in. We didn't really care, and kept watching. Minutes later, Steve Bernier pounded on the rebound right after the draw, and Vancouver up 7-2. That is the most number of goals scored in this series and so far in the playoffs.
The game became more entertaining, when Shane O'Brien and Wayne Simmonds dropped the gloves. First time in this series that a fight between two opposing players happened. I am a Canucks fan, but I believed that this fight was pretty even. Though O'Brien may have done better, with the last tackle.
Another fight broke out seven seconds later, this time Rick Rypien and Richard Clune were involved. This time, Rick Rypien totally owned Richard Clune, as Clune went down on the ice, and had to grab on to his shoulder and headed to the dressing room.
No goals were scored for the remaining of the game, and Vancouver won 7-2, and leads 3-2 in the best of seven.
There were few things I was proud of the Canucks with. Many people before the game criticized about Andrew Albert's return. However, he proved to everybody that he still belongs in this team, finishing with an assist and a +2 rating. He also didn't take any penalties, which was fucking unbelievable. Considering that he has over 20 minutes of penalty, during the first two games of the playoffs! Well done tonight Andrew!
The second thing is that Vancouver continued to do what they did best all series long. That was dominating 5 on 5. Six of their seven goals tonight scored were 5 on 5, versus the Kings' one 5 on 5 goal.
The third thing is that Vancouver was able to kill penalties tonight. Los Angeles was 1/5 tonight with the man advantage. The only thing they were better than us all series long was the powerplays. Now that they couldn't score every single time, their offence production has really dried out. Even though tonight, L.A took 2 quick penalties that took them off the powerplay, Vancouver didn't surrender a goal without being unlucky. The 5 on 3 disadvantage for Vancouver was a great example, they killed it off without L.A taking any penalties.
Vancouver officially needs to win one more game, and Los Angeles will be eliminated! Just one more!!! Finish this off boys! LETS GO CANUCKS!!!!!

A Wisely Sacrifice
Today, I woke up at 8 am in the morning, because I was going to have my driving test at 11:45 am. I ended up waking at 8:30, got dressed, ate breakfast and head out to practice some pulling over parking.
I came home in 30 minutes because my parents had to go out. Therefore I was home alone until 10:30 before my driving instructor came to pick me up. We spend 1 hour practicing, before my driving test at 11:45 am. I surely was on top of my game during practice. However, everything changed during my exam.
We went inside the ICBC building to get prepared for the driving test. I ended up paying 35 dollars for the exam fee. Was it expensive? No, not at all! Was it worth it? Not really.
My driving examiner was named, Miranda. A pretty nice lady I have to say. So first thing we did was checking to see if the car's wiper, low beam, high beam, turning signal lights and the break light was working or not.
After that, I pulled out and started my exam. To be honest, my performance today would just be like a young and inexperience hockey team going into the first game of the playoffs.
I was nervous when I was driving, therefore I made some minor mistakes and that would eventually cost my chance of passing. Yes, I failed my road test today, because of several factors : Driving Speed Limit, Car positioning, and shoulder check inconsistency.
At first I was pretty upset, because I was hoping I would pass, considered that I was on top of my game during practice. However, the thing that hurts the most was that my examiner was severely easy on me, and yet I still couldn't manage to pass. If I was to think of this in a positive way, it would be paying 35 dollars to learn my mistake, so that I don't repeat it next time!
I was pretty disappointed when I got home, but ironically my parents weren't. They kept mentioning how it's alright, because I get more experienced each time I fail. However, in my mind, each time I fail, I would be surrendering 35 dollars and I would consider that to be a waste of money.
After my mom left, my dad took me to a cafe in Vancouver for lunch. After that, he went to see a doctor while I patiently waited for him to be done.
We went home right after that. He went out for a run while I stayed home, to contact my friends, whether or not they wanted to come over to my place to watch the playoff game. One of my friend didn't have a car, therefore we canceled the whole thing.
To be honest, I didn't want to watch the game myself, because Vancouver hardly wins nowadays when I'm watching the game by myself.
My family was going out for dinner, and I lied to them that I will be having friends over, because I do not want to miss the game. They left me home alone while they went out to eat.
The game started at seven and that's when I started watching.
In the first period, Vancouver wasn't really playing well, surrendering a powerplay goal, on their only penalty of the period. Drew Doughty of the L.A Kings scored the goal when Roberto Luongo couldn't cover the puck steadily.
Vancouver's biggest weakness so far in this series was penalties. In game 3, they allowed three powerplay goals in all three penalties taken. Make this 4/4 on the powerplay for the kings. They lead 1-0 after one period.
In the second period, Vancouver was given a powerplay and Christian Ehrhoff scored on a slapshot from the slot, in which Jonathan Quick had no chance of stopping it. Finally Vancouver scored on the powerplay, something they also haven't had much success in. The game then was tied 1-1. Minutes later, Vancouver took another penalty. I was getting pretty frustrated seeing them take penalties. The Kings as usual would score on the powerplay and leads the game 2-1. Vancouver once again, took another penalty. However, THEY FINALLY KILLED IT OFF!! Wow, I cannot believe it, they actually killed a penalty!! Pavol Demitra later scored on a L.A turnover and tied the game 2-2. Minutes later, L.A scored again to make it 3-2, right after Luongo told one of his teammate, Shane O'Brien to calm down.
3-2 would be the score after 2 periods of the game.
In the 3rd period, Vancouver totally dominated the Kings. First off, they took a penalty, however the Kings did not score with the man advantage, and this gave Vancouver some momentum. I still didn't believe that they actually killed off 2 penalties in a row! Roberto Luongo made of the biggest save in the series, but stopping Alexander Frolov on the breakaway. My heart was panicking when Frolov had the breakaway chance, but Luongo stopped him! I kept saying to myself that this would be the turning point of the game, perhaps even the series too, but who knows.
7:29 into the 3rd period, Mikael Samuelsson scored on a perfect deflection when fellow linemate Henrik Sedin gave him a slap pass, tieing the game 3-3. Later on, Vancouver was given a powerplay and it gave them the chance to take the lead in the game. Sami Salo blasted a one timer slapshot from Henrik Sedin past Jonathan Quick, and Vancouver took its' first lead in the game, 4-3! Two powerplay goals by the Canucks! Wow, I did not believe this also, but it's about time the Kings learn who the Canucks really are. Right after the goal, the Kings pressed again, and Wayne Simmonds would tie the game 4-4, because the Canucks failed to get the puck out of their own zone. The goal gave me the nightmare of game 6 last year against Chicago, when the Blackhawks would score, seconds after Vancouver has taken the lead, because they didn't get the puck out of the zone. Thank goodness this wasn't the case in this game. With just over two minutes to go, HENRIK SEDIN SCORED!!!!! OUR MVP SCORED!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? I CAN!!!!! VANCOUVER LEADS 5-4!!! AMAZING!!!!! I totally loved the way he reacted to the goal, and it made my day! Though the celebration reminded me of game 5 between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers, when Tim Duncan scored a fade-away basket with 0.4 seconds left to give the Spurs a 1 point lead. The whole team were hugging and jumping like they already won the game. However Derek Fisher of the Lakers would score the game winning basket and the Lakers beat the spurs by 1, in which everybody was like, "wtf just happened."
However, I reminded myself not to celebrate just yet. The Kings can still tie the game, like they did on their fourth goal. Henrik Sedin did great in killing as much time as possible, and the Kings could not score. Ryan Kesler would add an empty net and Vancouver won the game 6-4. The series is now tied at 2!!
I guess sacrificing 35 dollars and my family dinner wasn't too bad after all. I was able to learn from my mistake and enjoyed an entertaining game in which Vancouver prevailed.
Vancouver won today, because they were able to make good use of what they were better at and that was the 5 on 5. They totally dominated the Kings at 5 on 5s. 4/6 goals scored were 5 on 5s vs the kings' 2/4. Another factor that contributed to their victory was that, they were able to match what L.A was better at. That was the powerplay. L.A scored 2 powerplay goals, so did Vancouver. Unfortunately, Vancouver's 5 on 5 efficiency outperformed L.A's. That was why Vancouver prevailed!! Now they must continue with this for the rest of the series!
Game 5 on friday! Let's take the lead in this series!!!! Lets go Canucks!!!!!!

Give Vancouver Some Mercy!
There is really nothing I can ask about the National Hockey League, besides, "What the fuck is wrong with this league." Yes, I am extremely upset right now, not just about losing 5-3 to the Los Angeles Kings, but more on how they disallowed a goal that would of changed the entire game around in favor for Vancouver.
The game started off well, with Vancouver opening the scoring by Mason Raymond. At that time, the Canucks were dominating the Los Angeles Kings. Both in the shots and hit department. Vancouver then was called for a penalty and Drew Doughty would eventually score on the powerplay to tie the game 1-1.
The second period totally belongs to the Los Angeles Kings, as they scored three more goals, two on the powerplay, to make it 4-1, before Mikael Samuelsson score to pull Vancouver within two goals.
The third period pretty much was owned by Vancouver, as they showed their desperation to get back into the game. Just over three minutes into the game, Daniel Sedin scored a goal, a pass from Alex Burrows. The referees signaled a goal at first, but when they looked at the replay, they questioned that the goal might have been kicked in. Therefore they had to review the play very carefully. They were taking a heck of a time, because their also reviewing it in Toronto also. I was getting very impatient, because I did not see a kicking motion at all, when Daniel was just trying to put on brakes. When they finally announced it that it was a kick, I was completely insane, while shaking my head in anger.
How can you say that it's a kicking motion! Can't the people tell what is a kick and what is not? I just can't believe they made that decision, I was totally irate. You be the judge, whether or not this is a kick :
Vancouver would eventually score a quick goal, just minutes later to pull themselves within a goal. I nearly spend the rest of the game ranting how it should of been a 4 -4 tie, if that goal counted. With just over eight minutes left to play, Ryan Smyth of the L.A Kings would score on a wristshot that deflected off Vancouver's defensemen Christian Ehrhoff to make it 5 - 3 L.A. By then the game would seem like it's over, but Vancouver battled hard. Unfortunately they could not score anymore, and the game ends in a 5 - 3 victory for the Kings and they now also take the lead in the best of seven series, 2 - 1.
I'm severely disappointed in this league, because of what they are doing right now. However, if Vancouver cannot play through it, they don't deserve to win at all! Real champions can overcome any situations that they face. The series is not over yet! I expect my team to come out flying in game 4!! LETS GO CANUCKS!!!!!! GET EVEN IN THIS SERIES!!!!!

A Night Of Frustration With The Officiating
So this morning, I woke up early at 9 AM because my mom wanted me to practice driving.
The weather didn't look promising at all, because it was raining. However, that still didn't stop me from practicing. I spend from 9:30 am to 10:30 am practicing on the road, and to be honest, it sucked!
After I came home from driving lesson, my mom went out and I was home alone for the day! I didn't care at all because I love being home alone. I was suppose to have friends coming over to watch the Vancouver Canucks playoff hockey game, however people were busy today, therefore I had to watch the game alone, which was fine with me, as I have done this numerous times already.
However, something tells me that Vancouver will lose tonight because every series that finished two playoff games are tied 1 - 1, in the best of seven. I really wish that it wasn't true, however it was! I just couldn't understand why it has to be like this, but here was what happened during the game.
The game started off well for Vancouver, they scored twice in the first period by Steve Bernier and Mikael Samuelsson, and led 2-0. If you thought I was very happy, you thought wrong. I was still having doubts about them losing, and the second period started everything off. The Los Angelos Kings would eventually score two goals within 35 seconds apart, by Freddy Modin and Wayne Simmonds to tie the game 2-2.
The officiating was terrible in this game because the refs seem to be blindfolded whenever the Los Angelos Kings commits an act that should of been called for a penalty. Many Canucks fans and I were getting sick of this. The referees doesn't seem to enjoy calling highsticking penalties, even if it was an obvious penalty.
In the 3rd period, there were no scoring, therefore the game went to overtime for the second straight time.
In overtime, there were no call against Los Angeles for goalie interference and highsticking. At that moment I was utterly irate considering how the officiating went all night long. Minutes later, Vancouver got called for "Too Many Mens On The Ice." In which I thought was completely bullshit. "You don't call a too many men on the ice penalty in OT when players limp in exhaustion to the bench" By Alvin Ma, a friend of mines. Anyways, I was thinking could this be the moment where all the series will be tied 1 - 1. After clearing the puck down the ice for over a minute, the Los Angelos Kings stormed back and Anze Kopitar finally puts the puck past Roberto Luongo on the follow-through to win it for the Kings 3-2 and ties the series up 1 - 1.
I was somewhat pissed off about the loss, but I was even more pissed off with the referees. After the game, many of the Canucks fans all booed and chanted, "REFS YOU SUCK!!" Something I would do if I was at the game. Never or less, this is all I have to say for today.
Go Canucks Go!! Bring On L.A in game 3!! BEAT L.A!!! BEAT L.A!!!!

So Far So Good!
If you ask me about my day, I will tell you that it's mixed with disappointment and with excitement.
My day started off early as I woke up early because I recently made an appointment with the HSBC Bank Co-workers of opening myself a bank saving account. The entire process took about 30 minutes, as they spend a lot of time giving me instructions on how to access to my bank account. Part of the time were spent on setting password.
After everything is done, my mom dropped me off home and then headed out again. I spend nearly the whole doing nothing, but sleeping. I usually don't do that, but I was just very tired and had no choice.
At 4:30 pm I headed out to driving lesson. At that time, it started to rain and I wasn't too pleased about it. My driving performance today was quite disappointing as I made many mistakes. I guess driving through the rain really disturbs a lot. I nearly forgot everything about parallel parking and this upsets my instructor. By the time I came back it was 5:30 pm.
I have friends coming over to watch the Vancouver Canucks playoff game which starts at 7 pm. They arrived early, at 6:15 to play some NHL 10 before the game starts.
At 7pm, we turned on CBC to watch the Vancouver Canucks playoff intro. They used the U2 intro, Where The Street Have No Name, like before :
The game started off pretty evenly with a non scoring period. However Vancouver dominated L.A in the shots department by a margin of 17 - 6. What I liked so far about the game was the fact that Vancouver started playing a very physical game, especially the Sedins and Edler. Normally I don't see them putting on hits because it's not what they do.
After the first period, one of my friends and I headed out to Triple O's to get food before the second period. Unfortunately by the time we head back into the car, the second period just started. The los angeles kings opened the scoring on the powerplay and took a 1-0 lead. We started watching the game again while we're eating.
Mikael Samuelsson then buries on the rebound on the powerplay past Johnathan Quick to tie the game 1 - 1. The sedins then had a great rush and scored a pretty nice goal and Vancouver leads 2 - 1. I started High fiving with friends for each goals scored by Vancouver.
The game became very interesting, when Andrew Albert of the Vancouver Canucks boarded Brad Richardson of the L.A Kings. He received a 5 minute major and was tossed out of the game, giving L.A a 5 minute powerplay. Los Angeles would eventually score one goal on the 5 minute major to Andrew Albert to tie the game at 2.
There would be no scoring for the rest of the game, however there is something interesting. That was when Alexander Edler of the Vancouver Canucks nailing Drew Doughty :
All the madness came when overtime scored. The one big scoring chance that Los Angeles had that rebound shot which trickled past Roberto Luongo. However, the puck was just on the line and Roberto Luongo swatted it out before it crosses over the line. That moment gave me a temporary heart attack as my face just went blanked :
Minutes later, Los Angeles turned the puck over in the neutral zone and Vancouver went on the attack. Vancouver started to set up and Henrik Sedin sets up Mikael Samuelsson for his second goal of the game and Vancouver beats L.A 3-2 in overtime. My friends and I were all yelling and cheering as we hugged in joy.
Vancouver officially leads 1-0 in the best of 7. Bring on L.A in game 2!! Go Canucks Go!!!

It's Official Now, Everything Is Ready!
Finally, it's the end of the week, in which many incredible things happened during the last two days.
I cannot be more than happy to have watched the Vancouver Canucks steamrolled the Calgary Flames last night on a 7 -3 win performance. I had a few friends over to my place to watch that game. Henrik Sedin was the first star, finishing the game with 4 assist, Daniel Sedin was the second star scoring a Hat-trick and Kevin Bieksa the third star with two goals. Mind you that Daniel Sedin scored a goal that could of easily make the "Goal Of The Year" :
Before the game, Henrik Sedin was sitting at 108 points, one behind Alexander Ovechkin from the Washington Capitals. Henrik finished the game with four assist, earning him 112 points, that is three points ahead of Alexander Ovechkin. However, if there is a tie, the Art Ross Trophy will be given to the player that scored the most goals. In this case, Alexander Ovechkin would win if he and Henrik are tied in points. So technically, Henrik has a two point lead going into Sunday's game. The Canucks also finished their season with a promising 49-28-5 record.
The night after the game, many of my facebook friends including me decided to cheer for the Boston Bruins, just for the sake of Henrik's Art Ross Trophy lead.
I slept late, and woke up early today at 9 am to watch the game. Am I scared? Yes I am. I watched the first period, in which the game was tied 2-2. However Alexander Ovechkin has no points, which is a very good thing.
During the second period, I had to go to driving lesson, therefore I missed the rest of the game.
After driving lesson, I came home and one of my friends told me that Henrik is now the leading points champion! That was when I learned that Alexander Ovechkin has no points.
Later, I started spreading the news to everyone and everywhere. However I'm not the only one that was doing it. Many of my facebook friends were also doing it too.
Anyways, there were still some games left to play today. I was watching the Redwings-Blackhawks game, while following the Rangers-Flyers game. However I did not get a chance to finish watching the game, because my mom wanted to go out to eat.
My sister had her phone with her, so she texted her buddies and asked about the score. I was not impressed when L.A beat Colorado in overtime. However, Detroit beat Chicago in overtime as well. As a result, instead of playing Nashville in the first round of the playoffs, we're playing L.A instead. Though, to be honest I rather play Nashville, but L.A shouldn't be too bad =P
I also realized that the Philadelphia Flyers beat the New York Rangers in a shootout to capture the last playoff spot.
While I was having lunch, a friend of mine texted me just to tell me that Sidney Crosby already has four points. He needs eight points to tie Henrik for the Art Ross Trophy.
When I got home, Sidney Crosby already has five points on all five Pittsburgh Penguins goal. Everybody except one of my friend became restless with the situation. However, Crosby was held pointless for the rest of the game, in which we breath a sigh of relief.
Sidney Crosby and Steven Stamkos surpassed Alexander Ovechkin for most goals with 51 goals. Personally, I think if the New York Islanders didn't score to tie the game, Crosby would of won the Maurice Richard Trophy by scoring on the empty net. It's okay I would say, because the Maurice Richard Trophy can have multiple winners.
Another thing that I was glad to know was that, I won the championship in my yahoo hockey fantasy pool, beating my head to head opponent by a score of 8 - 3. I guess it's good to be proud, since my defeat from last year in the second round and in the 3rd place game.
